Discussion: Dem Senate Super-PAC Forced To Spend $3M For Menendez In New Jersey

Ugh… Sometimes, I honestly think that the Democrats should make their peace with the fact they’re not taking the Senate back this cycle and clean house so they don’t have millstones like Menendez hanging around their necks in 2020.

They had that chance during the primary, can’t afford to lose a seat for 6 years.

That’s a waste of $3 million. WTF dems??

God, I hope they don’t do that. We need to fight for every freaking seat. We never know when one of these Republican freaks will announce his love for rape babies, when a seat that looked lost will suddenly be back in play. If Menendez wins he’ll be one more nay vote on any judge appointments. And no one is going to care about Menendez in 2020.

Entire NJ Democratic machine supported Menendez in his primary. Opponent did not campaign or even submit an FEC report of expenses, and still held him to about 65%. He’s got my vote ONLY due to national implications. And that pisses me off, frankly.

I just mailed in my ballot for the creep, nose firmly held.

The stupid party should have ditched him.

i voted for his primary opponent but, i’m going to vote Menendez in November and he better hold that seat.

I will say this, there are a ton of attack ads against Menendez, Mikie Sherrill and Malinowski (NJ-7) on TV, the Malinowski ones are hilariously bad (Pelosi Liberal!!!)

Hell No.

I don’t want Hugin representing me.

What a nightmare that would be.

Menendez wasn’t convicted of anything. I can live with him for 6 more years.

The Democratic Party: Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, since 1968…

I didn’t know you’re from Jersey!

As it should. The NJ Democratic Party is a fairly revolting, semi-authoritarian organization. The party and indeed the whole state is of course run by various bosses (where I live here in Essex County it’s “Joey D,” the county boss) and is generally highly anti-democratic in an old fashioned Tammany Hall sort of way. That they would support Menendez is unsurprising despite the fact that it was insanely stupid to do so. I of course don’t want the Republican candidate to win, but if that somehow happens the Democratic leadership in NJ has no one to blame but themselves.

just more of the same as corporate democrats support their own while tanking true progressives.
schumer and the DNC…care for the voters almost as much as repiglicons as they do everything in their power to fool the idiots who still vote for them while smugly applauding and supporting everything their corporate masters tell them to.

replacing the obviously guilty menendez with a minority candidate would not only insured the seat but would have shown minority candidates and voters across the country that the party wants and needs their input.

instead schumer and the DNC…resort to what they do best…supporting any corrupt figure that is a reliable vote for the rich and their interests.

very doubtful…the repiblicon will win…but if minority voters stay home…it is possible.
