From the start, this is not a “room.” Given the public descriptions, it was essentially a 2-bdrm apartment. I wish the media, and everyone, would stop buying into this “it was just a room” framing. It wasn’t just a room.

As a nature photographer you have no idea how much I hate this guy.
You can get a minimum idea of what even “just a room” (or rather “just two rooms” since his daughter used another space for free) by checking airbnb for similar spaces. Only those don’t have guaranteed availability. And you probably can’t leave anything there between stays. This one doesn’t pass the laugh test. But then neither does the rest of what pruitt has been doing.
Sheldon Whitehouse is no dummy and he’s not exactly a shrinking violet either. My guess is he stays on this until Pruitt is gone.
