Is she not bright enough to know she just got used in a big way?
“While the rules of political expediency would say I should have refused to meet with President-elect Trump…"
Uh, it all depends on what your ultimate goal is.
I’m so glad Trump is picking experienced foreign policy people.
The kind that like Putin, hate the refugees and think the words “Radical Islamic Terrorism” are magical in the fight.
p.s. and that call themselves progressive is just icing on the cake.
Rep Tusi - you weren’t playing politics, you were being played.
No she wasn’t. Listen to her on Fox.
President-elect Trump asked me to meet with him," Gabbard said, according to the statement. “I felt it important to take the opportunity to meet with the President-elect now before the drumbeats of war that neocons have been beating drag us into an escalation of the war to overthrow the Syrian government.”
Ok I’ll bite
What rock has she been living under?
She has never condemned Trump. This is no surprise. For all the Bernie Bros calling HRC a DINO…y’all should really look at Tulsi Gabbard. It’s very interesting she thinks she’s so different from Trump.
She’s not being used. She has waaaaaay more in common with Trump than people think.
Gabbard was recruited by the Dems because she’s a veteran and supposedly seen as tough on terrorism. She represents a wedge that Rump can drive between Dems.
@cmj Sorry, I writing as you posted. Didn’t see it.
I’m fine with that, but in places where need to make compromises. A Democrat from Georgia or West Virginia.
In a place like Hawaii I’d rather we keep strong progressive voices.
Behind closed doors, Bannon has referred to her as “Tulsi Grabbable.”
the rules of political expediency
Uh-huh…
Tulsi was the canary in the coal mine at the DNC. We should have listened to her when she was sounding the alarm, maybe we could have derailed the insane HRC train. Instead, they tried their utmost to sideline Bernie, and the rest is history. That she was driven out by Wasserman-Schultz is a real plus for her resume in my book.
I’m in total agreement. I may not much care for Joe Manchin, but he’s absolutely the best we’re going to get out of WV. The same can be said for folks like Blanche Lincoln, Evan Bayh, etc. We’re not going to do any better out of certain states and it’s absolutely the height of stupidity to think if we just nominated more progressive candidates in those states that somehow they would win. It’s also equally as silly to nominate blue dogs in bright blue states. They’ll win still, but we’re leaving a lot on the table when we do. The way I see it, the Elizabeth Warrens of the world offset the Joe Manchins.
It is just a matter of time before she officially becomes a Republican.
LBJ knew how to squeeze the balls of a potential Quisling, sts…
I bet you that she’s remaining a Dem in order to get elected in her VERY, VERY progressive district.
Evidently, Gabbard and Republicans are convinced that ISIS can easily by defeated by saying the right magic phrases. Obviously, they believe if only Obama would say the words, radical Islamic terrorism 3 times and click his heels together, it would solve most of our terrorism problems.
Good luck with trying that Republicans.
Is there a Syrian hotel chain Trump can have a piece of???
