Really glad to have this. It’s looking like Dems will take the Co Sc’y of State, AG and Treasurer spots, too.
I was pleased to see this result, and happy I am to live in Colorado, one of the more progressive states in the USA, in many ways. Here in Cortez, we have a wonderful mix of Hispanics, Utes and Navajos (both have reservations which are next to town), old family farms and ranches mostly Anglo and Hispanic, and millenial and hippie folks pepper the area for political and cultural balance as more folks move our way for peace and quiet. No traffic, reasonably priced real estate and a lot of it. Generally, empty space abounds - like much of rural CO. Polis is the right guy to be CO’s governor.
As a Cortez resident, maybe you’ve been watching this (ignore the part about Lyman - that was expected) as San Juan County UT now has a majority Dem (Navajo) County Commission.
In addition, Democrats won control of the State Senate and held on to the House, so we have another Democratic trifecta. And both of the independent redistricting commission amendments have been approved.
My only big Colorado disappointment was the failure of the antifracking initiative.
