Dem Rep: Moore Will ‘Harken Us Back To The Days Of Segregation’
For Moore’s voters, that’s a feature, not a bug.
The juxtaposition of that video frame and the Rep’s picture above is nice.
Rep. Sewell is too kind. From his remarks, Moore wants to take us back to the days of slavery.
Theocracy too. He’s an ambitious person.
Even George Wallace eventually came to and saw segregation for the evil it was. His apologies got mixed reactions from those who had been attacked by thug cops and police dogs. He might have been sincere or he might have been trying to make a deal with eternity’s gatekeepers.
Kiddie Show Roy on the other hand hears voices of god talking from burning crosses and blow up girl scout dolls. I don’t think he is coming back.

[/quote]It’s for family unity, you know.
And people who weren’t. Never bought it.
Wallace was worse than a bigot. He was a demagogue. After losing a race (where he had been endorsed by the NAACP), he told his staff “I’ll never be out-niggered again.” He didn’t believe the shit he spewed, he just spewed it to get power.
And being a slave also removes some of the uncertainties and tough decisions in life.
I suppose it’s still better he was born in our time, an era where we -at least on paper- have Civil Rights and equality than in the slavery days. Can you just imagine Roy Moore as a plantation master? I shudder to think of the cruelty he’s capable of. With nothing holding him back from satisfying his urges.
"… harken us back to the days of segregation.”
Yeah, I think that’s the point.
Moore believes that in 1965 unjustified rights were created in the South. The right to vote and not be white was a creation of that Zionist Occupation Yankee Federal Government.
Roy Moore: America “was great at the time when families were united — even though we had slavery”
Says pretty much everything you need to know about him, that quote.
The first step in all fascist movements is to sentimentalize and glorify THE PAST. The claim is that we have fallen so far from that glorious time and fascism alone can fix it: MAGA, in other words. For Moore slavery was when white families were harmoniously together… Same idea.
It is unfortunate, but the 'Days of Segregation" never really went away. We were just successful in putting these bigots in a box for a number of years. We knew they existed, we knew where they were, and unfortunately some knew how to unlock the door and let them out.
The Tea Party movement such as Freedom Works and others, which were the real 'Fake News" created by the likes of Dick Armey, became the ‘Astro Turf’ grass roots movements against the Affordable Care Act and by default or more likely intent, the first Black President.
The insurance companies and those like Armey and Phil Graham (sorry folks, both Texans) took the lobbying money in the efforts to defeat the ACA, knowing they could reach down and pull the bigots back into the mainstream. And it worked.
But, once Obama Care passed, these morons had no place and no will to go back into their hole and rot in their own deplorable slime. And the White Supremacists latched on to manipulate them into the political process.
So here we are with with a blatantly racist president, politicians who will allow any moral depravity to become normal to protect their power, and open efforts to suppress votes and harm the least of us without regard to the long term outcomes.
This is NOT the legacy I intend to leave my children and I continue to RESIST.
Dem Rep: Moore Will ‘Harken Us Back To The Days Of Segregation’
That’s the whole point of Moore’s candidacy, and for White Alabama voters that is a good thing.
No Foolin’?
This is something I’ve said for years. The Republicans want to roll back time and history in America and won’t ever let go until they have “restored” things to the earl;y 1920’s in American History.
The only things these gonifs will not try to take away from America is a woman’s right to vote. And they are brazen enough to do even this each and every day via acts which suppress people’s right to cast a ballot.
Republicans want an America cast in the form of “Leave it to Beaver.”
Trade Unions?
Civil Rights?
Women’s Rights?
LGBTQ Rights?
Dream on.
All gone.
Take every major goal which has been achieved and every social program from the New Deal and imagine America returned to the “Summer of '1929” forever and always, each and every day.
The Republican vision of America is run by fat old white people who all have money in common with President Frankenputz, and who have all set sail on their version of the “Titanic” once again.
This vision of theirs is plain for anyone to see.
Why do you think I’m so gobsmacked when people rush to the voting booths in droves and say this is what they WANT in America in the 21st Century?
And why do you think I’m so outraged when the vast majority of people with common cause WILL NOT find the energy to STOP the minority whose only reason for existence is to tear down, roll back and destroy for everyone else while they enrich themselves?
