Yes, I’ve noticed this about Ossoff’s campaign, which I can’t wait to be over so that I can stop caving to the demand that I make a quadruply matched donation. I’m going to have to assume that he knows his audience and that the anti-Trump stuff would be counter-productive and that his perceived authenticity–a key factor these days, we’ve learned–will be a function of his youthful idealism.
It must be perceived. His authenticity, that is, because I just don’t see it. He comes across as rather flat and uninspiring. That’s why I don’t think he’ll hit 50% today, nor do I think he’ll win. I could be wrong. I genuinely hope I’m wrong because I’d really like to see him win.
I can’t recall someone in the vaunted office of the Presidency taking time to disparage a mere Congressional candidate.
Mostly, I suppose, because it brings the candidate up to their level. But in this case, it’s to bring Ossoffdown to Trump’s level.

Heard Casey Hunt try out a dig on Ossoff this morning by reporting (presumably without any opinions…smh) saying a lot of people from Berkley, CA were coming to help him out. Gawd, I can’t stand her. She’s your typical R shill, posing as a reporter, in plain sight. Fuck her and daytime MSNBC…what a mess that channel has become.
Judging by Trump’s tweets and Ossoff’s poise, my impression is that the GOP needs to exceed its current projected e-day turnout model to keep Ossoff under 50%. While we know they can rev it up on e-day as they did last November, circumstances now are a bit different. GOP operatives were predicting a high GOP turnout for DT well before 11/8/16. They haven’t done so here. Not predicting anything. Just interpreting the signs that I see.
I don’t know anything about this guy except what I’ve seen and read here. My first impression is, whether he’s genuine or not, this sort of presence of mind and apparent intelligence is a shock to the system. I hope he’s genuine, and I hope he wins. If these happen, I hope he’s the next president.
