Discussion: Dem Lawmakers Call On Pruitt To Report Spending Violations To Congress

You mean that these four honorable Democrats actually expect Pruitt to obey the law? Oh, come now. He’s above all that, “Only common people obey the law,” says Pruitt, “and I am above the law. After all, I was appointed by TRUMP!”

That could take until well after the 2018 mid-terms, unless he reported at least 50 spending violations per day through the summer.

Scotty has a heap of them…

They tried to call …

but for some reason … no one could hear the phone ringing —

It’s time to stop addressing mail to him as The Honorable Scott Pruitt.

Just address them to Shitbird.

Are you kidding?!? Pruitt would never say that!

He would say that he was anointed by Trump.

Time to garnish the wages.

(I wonder if his Captain’s Desk converts to a single bunk?)

Pruitt is a corrupt jackass, through and through. He needs to go!

Quite right! I stand corrected.

Seems to me this an appropriate tit for tat response to bogus DOJ document demands. Contempt of Congress or Impeachment to follow after lengthy (say Jan. 2019) non-response from Pruitt, if he lasts that long.

I would love it if they addressed letters to him as The Execrable Scott Pruitt. In Spanish, people use that word a lot more.

Hardly. One of them is asking an appointee to obey the law, the other is asking an appointee to disregard the law and put lives in danger.

Oh, right, and orcs.

My apologies for the very poor phrase choice. It was a hasty, ill-conceived post inaccurately sharing my initial musing on this new EPA request relative to recent demands made of DOJ.

A tit-for-tat statement invokes a false equivalency. I do not view Dem Lawmakers’ legitimate oversight request for “all statutorily-required information”, as a retaliation in kind (Webster’s definition of tit-for-tat). It clearly is not.

In fact, as you note, the Nunes / Goodlatt demands of DOJ and the Dems “writing to urge”, EPA, “to immediately comply with the law”, make for a great case study in polar opposite, Congressional oversight. A fulsome, compare-and-contrast review of Nunes / Goodlatt’s use of Congressional powers reveals further Trump “crew” (Nunes/Goodlatt) corrupt intent, vs. the Democratic leadership letter to uncover Pruitt corrupt intent.

Thanks, and not a problem. If I were held to every first thing I said… It was mostly nitpicking and a rearguard action against the unconscious bothsiderism that sometimes infects us all.

Oil him up and roll him in mine tailings from Picher, Oklahoma (look it up).

But if he actually has to report all his spending violations, how is he going to MAGA by reversing all the EPA rules that help prevent people from dying prematurely of cancers caused by toxic waste?
