I saw this exchange on Maddow last night. If Edwards wins, it will be in large part because of the above. It wasn’t just what he said, it was the devastating manner in which he said it. I was like, “daaaaaaamn”. That hurt.

I truly hope it works. One of the things that went wrong in KY was that the Democrat got too aggressive and stayed that way for too long, continually calling Bevin a “pathological liar”.

Vitter charged that Edwards, a former Army Ranger, wasn’t “living by the honor code.”

Seriously? Vitter doesn’t deserve to be treated honorably. Pitiful response and certainly doesn’t hurt Edwards.

“I am not looking at any video footage from you. I haven’t hired a private investigator to go after you … you’re a liar and you’re a cheater and you’re a stealer and I don’t tolerate that,” Edwards shot back.

Now that’s going to leave a mark that even a diaper can’t cover.

Even though I was there, I don’t recall Hillary coming anywhere near getting in someone’s face and calling them a liar and a cheater. I think she’s going to have to do some of that in the coming general election (no matter the Republican running) because the definition of a “strong” or “forceful” candidate is changing…and voters like a strong, forceful candidate.
