Yet another reason to NOT USE TWITTER!
Stupid fucking comment. His explanation isn’t much better, but at least it’s not as disgusting.
Repugs may have a much greater ability to hurt the nation but this is despicable rhetoric.
As a liberal Democrat, let me say this is a wrong and misguided form of criticism. Stay classy. Don’t politicize such a horrific act of terror.
As my wife, the middle school teacher often tells her students: “You can think anything you want. Just don’t say it out loud.”.
NOT helpful. And if you’re “clarifying”, you’re losing.
“Let me clarify my tweet where I compared the republican party to ISIS. Twitter does not allow for context, but this does…”
Simple lesson, moran: If you need to provide context, don’t use Twitter. This liberal would not vote for this candidate.
Dumb move. Republicans suck well enough on their own. No need to draw ridiculous comparisons like this.
Why do “we” always have to take the high ground. “They” don’t and don’t seem to suffer any consequences for it.
And I think his clarification was right on the money. What in there is not true???
"Twitter does not allow for context. . . . " Yet another reason to stay off of it. especially if you are running for office and are talking smack about your opponent.
In a way, he’s quite correct. Republican policies and mind-sets only serve to terrorize our nation, pitting one group against another. But to state such on twitter, probably very unwise in the state he is running for office. Only independent voters in Vermont, Massachusetts, and California understand hyperpole, exaggeration and analogy at that level.
sigh.
No, there is no way he is even remotely right.
Like ISIL, republicans are repugnant…
GOTP don’t behead…
They just kill the MiddleClass from the neck down.
I don’t see the similarity at all.
If the ISIL were like the GOP, they would cut a man’s head off and then claim the man victimized the the executioner by making the executioner cut executed man’s head off.
if you are going to call someone a moron, at least learn how to spell it.
On TPM this comment by Candidate Jesse T Smith would be called an AD HOMINEM attack and he’d be banned from posting.
This is one of those rare times a democrat makes a fool of themselves. See … Idiocy does not know a political party. It’s just far far more common that we see this sort of crap from republicans.
Outrageous.
Why couldn’t he just have used “Hitler” and left it at that?
