Discussion: Dem Candidate Has To Clarify She Doesn't Support Obama's Policies

“100% Democrat”? She isn’t even 50% if she believes the crap she’s been tagged with.

Coward, plain and simple. Go hide

If it meant she would win WV I would have her heard off stage calling the President the ‘N’ word. Whatever they have to do to win I’ll endorse. I’d rather grumble about a Dem that votes with you only 50 or 60% of the time than a reptilian Bagger that votes against you 95% of the time.

Would that qualify her as a DEMINO?

Why does TPM hate copy editors?

How did Democrat Jay Rockefeller hold his seat for as long as he has, 1984? What made Capito look so good to people who voted all these years for Rockefeller? However, what Tennant is doing is the worst kind of pandering, alienating both parties at the same time

Sad, but WV is determined to stay impoverished and miserable. Have at it, I say.

Maybe not your “democratic” or “progressive” boxes.

But at the same time, West Virginia’s Democratic party isn’t yours either.

Well, this isn’t The Obama Party, it’s the Democratic Party. So she can dissent from inside the party if she wishes.

But as expressed by various people in the thread already, it won’t help and in fact it will hurt her.

West Virginia is lost to the national party, and at the state level the only Democrats they’ll be electing are the Manchinites who curry the favor of those aging folks who have been Democrats since the New Deal and don’t change their registrations, though they agree with everything your standard Tea Partier says.

Well, please provide some clarity. Which of the President’s policies do you support and which ones do you not support. It would be nice to know this information before the general election.

If you stand for nothing, you will fall for everything.
