Anyone hear if Brian Sandoval vetoed the Medicaid for all bill that has been sitting on his desk? Today is supposed to be the deadline to sign or veto.
A couple of links if you’ve never heard of it:

”Dem And GOP Guvs Write McConnell Urging Bipartisan Effort On Health Care.”
I’m sure Mitch’ll get right on that.
Just as soon as he stops laughing.
And adding more zeros to the tax-cut amount for billionaires.
Yep, I’ve always heard Guvs know how to get things done.
“Before leaving town for the weekend on Thursday…”
Yeah.
Wasn’t sternly written enough.
I’m sure Schumer may have thought of this and is on it and Mitch will ignore given his legacy as a disgrace, traitor and complete partisan asshole is on the line.
Nothing can stop McConnell now except ultra-reactionaries demanding a harsher bill two hours before the vote.
Do the zeros get added three at a time?
Probably yes, by auto fill.
In which case he’ll demand the use of Jefferson Beauregard’s fainting couch; where he will compose himself by making being female (unless married to a Rethuglican) illegal, allowing children older than 5 to be employed by the coal industry, and changing the national anthem to Dixie.
Mitch doesn’t really laugh, he just kind of does a reptilian gurgle/chuckle.
No word yet.
Even if he signs it, what are the chances NV will get the necessary waiver from the Trump admin?
Why is this getting such little publicity? This is single payer in effect for those who want it. This what states are supposed to do-be laboratories for democracy.
I plan to call my dear senators next week (Cruz & Cornyn) to tell them to please follow through on the threat to dismantle the ACA, because that will more quickly get Single Payer or Medicare for all on the table when the Dems take over in 2018.
Torches and pitchforks next up…
Sandoval has until midnight tonight to sign or veto. I am hopeful because he has been supportive of Medicaid expansion. If he does sign, it may be a good model for other states.
Meanwhile he just signed a law requiring transparency for insulin, to control rising drug costs.
There can be no bipartisan effort. Any effort that dose anything but give more people healthcare at the level that can be had now, should find no support from the Democrats. If it did it would be the death of the Democratic party.
And any effort that doesn’t give a third of a trillion dollars to rich donors won’t make it past republicans.
Agreed. But aren’t the Medicaid cuts in the range of $880 billion? And the tax cuts in the mid-$600 billion range?
