Discussion: Defending Saudi Arabia, Trump Calls Middle East ‘A Nasty Part of The World’

"And the ultimate number is around $450 billion. $110 billion for military. $450 billion. I think that’s over a million jobs, a million to— over a million jobs.”

Somebody please go to DC to change the First Word-Diaper.

Actual number of jobs affected is merely 1000, as others have published. And the $400 billion possible purchases were initiated by Obama, not Trump, and almost none of that deal has yet materialized after years already.

It’s an oily shithole.

I must confess -I haven’t kept up with the latest exchange rate on number of jobs vis-a-vis a hideous torture-ridden murder and dismemberment of an US based reporter. I should ask Goldman-Sachs I suppose for an arbitrage opportunity.

Here’s our President, folks. Half wannabe gangster, half imbecile.

But you take a look, it’s a rough part of the world.

It’s a rough neighborhood, see, and sometimes people get hurt, y’know? So don’t ask too many questions, and as long as you keep up with your protection payments, you don’t have nothin’ to worry about.

I went to Saudi Arabia on the basis that they would buy hundreds of billions— many billions of dollars worth of things. And the ultimate number is around $450 billion. $110 billion for military. $450 billion. I think that’s over a million jobs, a million to— over a million jobs

And then he can’t even keep up with the numbers he’s inventing. $110 billion, $450 billion, lots of beeelions. Or millions. Of jobs or dollars or cheeseburgers or something. It’s a lot, okay? Stop worrying about the details, this is a great deal, just sign here.

Yeah, it’s a real shithole, Donald.

“I haven’t gotten a full recap.
Translation: “I have the reading comprehension and the reasoning skills of a five-year-old child.”
“That’s no excuse for what happened with Saudi Arabia."
Translation: “But Bolton and Jared are gonna keep trying until they find one!”

He’s right. The Middle East IS a nasty part of the world these days. Like Washington, D.C.

Asked “What things?,” Toadglans produced an extensive catalog of unsold condos at his various properties as well as a wish list of future Trump-branded projects located in authoritarian countries around the globe.

“I’ve got a lot of giant gold letters, big, beautiful gold letters, that have been unfairly removed, illegally removed from my buildings all over North and Central America that are just sitting around these days,” he added. “They are, as we say in the business, shovel-ready.”

That explains why Trump is so comfortable there.

Ya but the Saudis contribute more than their share of the nastiness. That’s the whole point.

Money makes Trump’s world go round. Nothing else matters.

That this grifting scumbag is in the Oval Office continues to be beyond belief.

Except for the gross hyperbole and non factual numbers, he is telling the absolute truth. We won’t do anything because the weapons manufacturers (America’s biggest exporters) want that Saudi money. It is a nasty monarchy but the money spends just like any other.

There were other reasons other presidents made nice with the Saudis. They agree to be our allies in the region, we have bases there and they recognized Israel.

None of this is a motivator for Trump - that’s just the money.

Trump makes all complex things simple. People call it genius - I see it more as an inability to think conceptually.
