Um. That at least one POTUS candidate doesn’t shark steaks, ties, or degrees?

Like a lot of politicians she’s rolling in dough?
Yes, and she doesn’t manufacture a fashion line in Mexico, China, Taiwan or some other country, doesn’t depreciate her real estate properties, nor does her own daughter hawk the daughter’s own women’s clothing line for dresses the daughter wore at a political convention, dresses produced by manufacturers who don’t offer paid leave to their employees, that’s the way Trump’s daughter, not Hillary’s daughter, makes a good chunk of money.
I so wonder about the Don … I mean… It’s not like sex toys aren’t a legit deduction –
Ya know… health concerns and all —
Whenever the press mentions Trump’s complaint about missing e-mails, please remind the public of the 50K+ missing e-mails from the Bush era on fired Federal prosecutors. Please also remind the public of the RNC’s private e-mail server used by Bush, Cheney, and others and their destruction of all e-mails. Please remind public that Colin Powell candidly admitted using a private e-mail account and then destroying every single e-mail from his private account after he stepped down as Secretary of State. Oh, and please list the paid speeches Trump has given to Wall Street entities, for which he received much more than Clinton.
The American public has a very short memory and needs to be reminded of this history at every opportunity.
“Hillary Clinton has turned over the only records nobody wants to see from her - the American public wants to see the 33,000 emails she deleted to obstruct an FBI investigation,” said Trump spokesman Jason Miller.
I don’t know how smart this comment is.
It just seems to me there are some things in the return you could make hay with if you’re a Republican. It doesn’t have to be true, after all, it can just be spin.
His hands are too small to use sex toys.
C’mon TPM. In your “deep dive” how’d you miss that Bill received $100 in 2015 in royalties from his performance playing the saxophone on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in 1988.
Damn, I have a lot of old tax returns to go though!
It shows that the Clintons make a lot of money and pay more in taxes than many other people in their income bracket.
“They gave more than $1,042,000 to charity, with $1 million going to the Clinton family foundation.”
This should actually read, they gave less than 42K to charities and $1 million to themselves. Let’s be honest about this, it’s a tax scam. Now to be fair, it’s a popular tax scam, one that many are abusing but a perfectly legal, just morally suspect.
Thank you!
Yes, this is why, annoyed as I am that she brought this controversy on herself, this is why I cannot get too worked up over it, because the whole Bush43 Administration was so blatant about making their e-mails secret and unavailable.
And considering that e-mails from the Democratic Party and the State Department have gotten hacked and widely distributed, but not (at least none that have yet come to light) e-mails from Secretary Clinton’s own private server, I’m not sure I can say that she was so very wrong to mistrust the official channels.
And let’s not forget that a Federal Court ordered that Bush’s CIA retain video of their waterboarding sessions. They destroyed the tapes anyway and Alberto Gonzales’s DOJ let them off completely in spite of the previous court order.
Speaking of the DOJ under Bush. The GOP is trying to claim that Hillary was corrupt for e-mails of introduction of people associated with the Clinton Foundation. Remember Gonzales’s DOJ was full of implanted lawyers from Liberty University… many of who were fired after it was found that they were working toward getting US attorney’s fired so they could be replaced by Liberty U’s choices.
What is Trump’s stand on her making it harder for Putin to influence American politics?
Do you have ANY proof for this unbiased assertion? There are pretty strict regulations for charities and this one seems to be rated very highly. It it is not uncommon to have a professional organization distribute charitable giving for the wealthy ones there’s enough money being given out every year.
But since Trump won’t release his own returns, they can’t even try to make hay of anything in Clinton’s returns without getting nailed, hard, for hypocrisy (even our supine press corpse can’t miss that one). So the best they can do is pretend that nobody cares what’s in tax returns, and that “the American public” wants to see tens of thousands of Hillary’s private e-mails. Of course if we had at least an adequately-functioning media, they’d ask when Trump will be releasing all of his private e-mails from the same period. But we don’t, so they won’t.
Don’t forget the rubber bands & close-line clips ! —
Whatever we learned, we know she isn’t hiding anything and that she and Bill are very successful and spread the wealth.
These two factors are what Trump is worried about. Full disclosure and what a cheapskate he is.
Maybe the cost of buying his wife and his tax schemes for avoidance and his medical write offs also too, but mostly the first two.
Plus, in less I’m mistaken, the 33,000 emails of Hillary’s have all been recovered. It’s the bush administration that hasn’t produced the millions of lost emails.
