Frankly I found the comments by police to be dismissive. Maybe pretend it were young white guys from the suburbs. Would the response be the same? By police? By the media? By the community?

Two murders of people who knew one another, killed in the same manner? At the very least, it points to a connection of âmaybe itâs the same guyâ. That doesnât mean itâs connected to the protests, but unless putting people in their cars and lighting them on fire when they get shot is the Ferguson equivalent of a Viking funeral⌠yeah, Mr. McGuire, thatâs âa connectionâ, even if only a tenuous one.

Depends on your definition of ânefariousâ. Views vary. Some consider murder nefarious, some canât imagine what could ever be nefarious.

Riiiiiight. Should we peddle the anti-Vaxxerâs conspiracy theories just because some people react to those stories with fear, as evidence that there must be something wrong for people to react that way?
No one disputes the conditions that produce these kind of sad deaths â that doesnât make them conspiracies, and I would expect better of TPM than to peddle these claims.
How is this any different than using made-up, non-existent conspiracies and plots to try to stoke anti-immigrant fears? I mean, George Soros is funding hordes of criminals to swarm our Southern border, right? Itâs totally not true, but I guess we should give it legitimacy for the fear it reflects and causes, right? Good grief.
