Discussion for article #236887

How freakin nuts is this woman? Where in this country is the so called “sharia” law even an issue? What a numbskull ignoramus hate monger…She needs to do us all a favor and strap on a bomb vest and just do it…lol

So they’re pulling a Sony, threaten to blow up theaters and they pull The Interview.

Now out of fear of Jihad they’ll pull cartoons.

Hope the NRA gun nuts don’t catch on to this trend, make people afraid and they’ll stop confronting you.

Nut job!

Geller might find it easier to slip the ads in surreptitiously in their original German.

Geller is going to sue and likely will win. It’s patently obvious why they are declining to run any issue ads for the rest of the year. This is dumb of DC Metro. Just run the damn ads.

What is the basis for a lawsuit?

That frees up even more space for ads from defense contractors!

If Geller is so committed to this cause, wouldn’t it make sense to demonstrate her commitment by putting the cartoon on a sandwich board that she walks around in? Lead the charge, Pamela, show us you are unafraid of any violent reaction it might provoke.

That image should really come with a trigger warning. Such seething hate.

I am amused at how Geller tries to elevate herself over what she is, namely a more reckless version of that snotty little kid who demands to know why she can’t say 'who farted?" at the Thanksgiving dinner table.

Win in what court?

I ride the DC Metro all the time. My husband of 30 years is Arab Muslim. Good thing we don’t have to look at hateful bile every time we try to go visit friends or out to dinner.

Attention whores don’t need to be accommodated.

This is ridiculous. Like all rights, the right to free speech is not absolute. We shouldn’t have to ban all advocacy just to avoid putting hate speech on our buses. There has got to be a way to tell Geller to take a walk while still being allowed to advocate for literacy programs.

This is why we can’t have nice things.

I was thinking the same exact thing!

Oh, I’ll bet that’s got her in a snit! Have a nice week-end, Pammy.

Completely agree. So short sighted.

I’m interested to see how long the DC Metro abjures the advertising of political candidates.

After all, those are issue ads.
