Wait a minute. What happened 15 years ago when he failed his family? Is Vitter claiming that, in addition to the time he failed his family 8 years ago, he failed earlier? And if he found love and forgiveness 15 years ago, why did he again fuck-up 7 years later?

I don’t care what the polls say. I still believe this jackass will win the election, and I don’t think the results will even be particularly close. I live in northwest Georgia, and I can’t count how many times I’ve seen a Democrat, in our region, express optimism over their chances, only to have the rug completely pulled out from under them on election day.
This is Louisiana, it’s an off year election, he is a Republican. I predict he will get at least 60% of the vote.

Vitter’s biggest sin was not sex but hypocrisy. Vitter was as loud as anyone to say the Bill Clinton was unfit because he was unfaithful. Vitter’s wife went even farther attacking Hillary for staying with Bill and saying a real woman like her would “emulate Elana Bobbit”. So at the least we should make Vitter drop his draws see if his wife is as big a liar as Vitter himself.

I agree the key to this type of attack is to build a narrative. Find some other big moral failure or some other vote he skipped (to go talk to a lobbyist) and use that too. “Vitter was too busy to vote on X, because he was prostrating himself before lobbyist y” etc. You keep this idea afloat but you don’t seem to be going overboard with it.
Vitter is a sorry sack of fecal matter.
There’s been a surprisingly high level debate about the issues down there. I think the fight over LSU was a good warm up.
It’s still Louisiana, though. They practically invented the negative advertisement and every once in awhile they like to show the Yankees how they do it downtown.
