Discussion for article #231562
With friends like this . . . .?
and I would bet that John Boehner isn’t going to have a very happy New Year.
David Duke: the cutting edge proponent of the white Republican belief that merely saying you’re not a racist makes it so.
It’s almost like David Duke is trolling Scalise at this point.
That’s the trouble, if you court them, tell them you’re on their side, they sometimes notice when you throw them under the boss.
He may even be trolling himself.
…and the search for compromising photos is on!!!
Anybody know how to photo-shop stuff?
Ahhhh, the other shoe just dropped on Scalise…
Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke
Oh, really?
You get the feeling that Duke would be happy to drop dimes on all sorts of GOP operatives. I’d bet he’s throwing Scalise under the bus to send a signal to anyone who who’s ever met with him that fails to toe the line on his agenda.
That’s cool.
Boehner supposedly has “absolved” Scalise for being ignorant…
“If Scalise is going to be crucified — if Republicans want to throw Steve Scalise to the woods, then a lot of them better be looking over their shoulders,” Duke told Fusion. He added that he wasn’t afraid to release a list of names of politicians he has connections to.
You know we’ve been brought to a very dark place when I’m over here cheering on David Duke. He’s done two things here that I really appreciate. First, he makes it clear that he’s no stranger to Scalise, that they’ve had some ongoing relationship. That makes it that much tougher for Scalise to distance himself and claim he had no knowledge that this group is associated with Duke.
Secondly, Duke is revealing that Scalise isn’t the only Republican who has cozied up to his white supremacist movement. This could very well be the beginnings of a firestorm. Peices of shit like Duke subsist on publicity. Until today, he had’ no relevance and Scalise has just made him relevant. It behooves him for a number of reasons to start naming names. There’s no better way to get the media’s attention and there’s no better recruitment tool.
This is a shitstorm. If MSNBC’s coverage is any indication, the media smells blood in the water and hour by hour it’s getting bloodier. I won’t be surprised if 2015 kicks off with a look into the GOPs ties to the white supremacy movement. If that happens then, Lawd, these next two years are going to be more fun than my early 20s. Hang on, ya’ll, it’s finna be a bumpy ride.
I know - but I am sure Boehner then hoped all of this would go away. Who knows what we will find out by tomorrow???
This will all blow over very soon with little harm to any Republicans past, present, or future. Why? IOKIYAR, that’s why.
YES! These teabagger types absolutely despise the establishment GOP, and they’re typically as hateful as they are famewhores. For the first time in over two decades David Duke is relevant again. I can’t fathom he’s going to go away quietly.
And who thinks Republicans would be hurt by associations with Klan leaders? Who? They all rep intentionally white districts that really don’t differ much from the Klan in outlook.
All this does is highlight the sociopathic nature of GOP of today. The people who elected these clowns are not offended by the Klan.
Way OT----The great Viennese actress Luise Rainer has died in London at the age of 104.
She was the first to win back-to-back Oscars—a feat equaled only by Spencer Tracy, Katharine Hepburn, and Tom Hanks.
Yes indeed, you have now met the future of the established tea party and there wannabe leader.
Please Duke, reveal that list of scumbags who have been hiding in the closet for so long. Don’t forget to add in the new freshman that are just beginning to learn the game and are still turning circles wondering where there headed for there own personal benefit. phew Out of breath on that one. lol
Sounds to me like he’s trolling the whole GOP.
No, R vs. R can get ugly fast. Trent Lott was/is a perfect example. The liberals made a little bit of a fuss about his comments but it was his competition that saw a chance to oust him.
