Discussion: Darren Wilson Supporters Crowdfund 'Pants Up, Don't Loot' Billboard

Teabaggers: rants up, old coots

I’m sure the author(s) thought it was funny but in retrospect I hope they will have a change of heart. A person lost his life and to make light of it is in very poor taste.

What a racist POS, and the sign company will be racist, too, if it puts the sign up.

Now what do pants have to do with folks being pissed off if Officer Wison is exonerated? Someone please explain that one if possible…

Well you know, darrtown, the protesters are black.

So this means that (insert bullshit racist meme) is totally acceptable when referring to them.

Same as the “make them bring work boots” zany zinger they tried to run with the other day when there were negotiations about the march going on.

Because you know, blacks. And work. Blacks? Work? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Or at least, that’s how the racists’ brains function – if you can call it that.

The MSM would quickly label them as “the REAL racists and race-baiters” and go about supporting Darren Wilson like it’s done from the get-go.

Did I miss a trial?? No ones been tried in court yet, but plenty of media trials!!

It’s an expression of white cultural rage at the style of black kids wearing their pants way too low and showing everyone their fucking undies all the time (i.e., “sagging”).

While I have to agree it’s a ridiculous, childish and stupid style, I’m not exactly offended or enraged by it, but you know who is? That’s right…I don’t need to tell you who…nor do I need to explain the cultural connections and origins of “sagging” for people to understand precisely why it enrages white conservative racists: black people do it and that’s enough to set them off.

Gotta love how Timberlands became so popular haha

Right you are. Lamar (or CBS Outdoor, or Clear Channel) wouldn’t touch this with a 10 foot pole, much less a 14 x 48 bulletin (that’s an outdoor media joke!).

The only loophole I could see would be maybe some smaller board owned by a local media company, a 30-sheet or something. But that wouldn’t have nearly the impact of a high-visibility bulletin. And it even stretches the imagination to think of a local company inviting controversy by permitting this artwork.

In short, I think this Tennessee guy is trolling big time, but apparently raising money doing it. In other words, fraud.

No Racist Dog Whistle going on here.
Nothing to see.
Move along.

… and outside agitating.

Not outdoor, but I’ve done enough media buying to know they won’t have a choice of ‘where’.
And that’s ‘if’ they find a local company either racist enough – or so needy for that $3000.
I don’t see it happening.

This free exposure received online far outweighs that they’d get on a billboard.

Lone_Apple, “that billboard” doesn’t exist and probably never will. TPM has gone out of their way to create the impression that it does, however, or at least confuse the issue, with their “illustration.”

What could go wrong?

Good catch. It wouldn’t hurt to include “Artist’s depiction” in a byline credit.

Well, of course. Because stupid fashion choices are the equivalent of killing an unarmed teenaged boy.

Why didn’t they just put up a billboard that said, “Yeah, that’s right. We’re ignorant and proud of it!”

Didn’t want to infringe on the climate deniers’ trademark.
