Discussion: Dallas Suspect Taunted Police During 2 Hours Of Negotiation

Any chance the wounded and the families of those slain–
will file a civil suit against the Academy of Combative Warrior Arts?
Is there a precedent?

Sure, but was it “tactical taunting”?

That would be interesting and would send LOTS of these yahoos who profit from such “training” running for cover (pun intended).

The precedent could be to expose all gun manufacturers to individual or class action lawsuits. Sounds good to me.

They could file…would they win?

nope

and a Reagan era judge squashed it.

By the way Armslist was the middle-man for the Chattanooga shooter.

Knowing full-well that this next statement is unfair on its’ face:

The slain and wounded are LEOs.
It could create the atmosphere necessary to win a case like this.

The kind of training provided by this ‘academy’?
Went from RWNJs playing in the woods with hunting rifles-- to a full-blown industry in less than 10yrs.

All flight schools have had restrictions placed on them since 9/11.
Why is this any different?
A civil suit win-- could be the vehicle to create momentum.

I could play ‘devil’s advocate’ here, but this article pretty much states everything that a suit would have to guard against.
