Not only not positive for His Donaldness, but so early in the cycle too. I wonder how many endorsements he will get.

Don’t mess with Texas, Donnie…

Didn’t the Houston Chronicle already refuse to endorse Trump a month or so ago?
Two major papers—neither of them left leaning—ripping Trump?
This should make Texas competitive.

Place whatever stock one does in newspaper endorsements, but the complete inability of either the Houston Chronicle or Dallas Morning News to make a ā€œcountry firstā€ endorsement of Hillary is pathetic.

And it means these strongly worded memos are worthless.

So…I guess the Dallas Morning News just made the SHT LIST…it ā€˜must’ be a crummy newspaper…so sad.

I don’t agree. This is the right approach to convince conservatives. Endorse Clinton, and they’ll just get a tin foil hat response. This approach plants the seed.

ā€œRegardless, his ideas are so far from Republicanism that they have spawned a new description: Trumpism.ā€

I’m not saying this is wrong but it seems like a dodge to avoid the fact that at least a plurality of Republicans don’t seem to care about what the paper calls ā€œRepublicanism.ā€

…Trump does not champion Republican principles like individual liberty and a strong national defense.

Our military is so overfunded today that it would take someone proposing a 90% cut in funding for me to accuse them of not supporting a ā€œstrong national defense.ā€

That said, it’s a pretty surprising editorial, given the source.

Isn’t Republicanism defined as keeping Mexicans from coming to the United States?

Well…there is that ā€œblind squirrel and the nutā€ thing.

A Clinton endorsement looks more like this, and it’s from a republican who heads up r4c16.org, a republican group wholeheartedly supporting Clinton.

I’m not surprised by the Dallas Morning News. I am surprised by the poll that shows Hillary in a close race in Texas.

Wow.

Well, isn’t that special. No nod to Johnson, not even a eye roll towards Clinton.

My goodness, there are some decent newspapers left! Drip, drip, drip…I wonder if he will even make it to November. He’s just itching to start up his right-wing/Nazi ā€œjournalismā€ outlet. I guess Roger needs a new job since he left Faux Nooz.

Meh. Well, maybe they GOPers will just stay home. The Morning News is a hack outfit that is too chickenshit to actually tell voters that Clinton is qualified. F*ck them.

Those are American and Democratic principles. Not Republican.

Face it, Dallas Morning News: Trump is a Republican. You just don’t like how it reflects on you.
