Trump, the editorial board claimed, has played to voters’ xenophobia and racism, shifted on critical issues, and displayed “a dangerous lack of judgment and impulse control” with his “improvisational insults and midnight tweets.”
Welcome back to sanity, Texas!
We missed ya…
First the Houston Chronicle, now the DMN? I don’t usually imbibe this early in the day, but think I’ll make an exception. The times in Texas, they are a’changing.
And some polling has Clinton within striking distance in Texas? I’m sorry, but did someone slip something into the water supply of the country or something?
“Unlike Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton has experience in actual governance, a record of service and a willingness to delve into real policy,” the editorial board wrote.
“Resume vs. resume, judgment vs. judgment, this election is no contest,” they concluded.
“Hillary Clinton has spent years in the trenches doing the hard work needed to prepare herself to lead our nation,” the board wrote. “In this race, at this time, she deserves your vote.”
Well. You can’t put it much better. Thank you, Dallas Morning News!
transformed into a web of “conspiracies and cover-ups”
Isn’t that the mission statement from the original GOP charter?
When was the last press conference Trump did where he took unscripted questions from reporters?
Let’s not go nuts. This is still the state of Gregg Abott and Ted Cruz.
Molly Ivins and Ann Richards are in good spirits today…
I dearly love the state of Texas, but I consider that a harmless perversion on my part, and discuss it only with consenting adults. (MI)
I’ve always said that in politics, your enemies can’t hurt you, but your friends will kill you. (AR)
The letters to the editor page of that paper ought to be priceless for the next week or two.
Remind me of those two, I will imbibe.
it’s a step in the right direction, but back to sanity for Texas is going to take a journey of many thousands of steps.
Unlike Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton has experience in actual governance, a record of service and a willingness to delve into real policy,” the editorial board wrote.
“Resume vs. resume, judgment vs. judgment, this election is no contest,” they concluded.
This is what the election ultimately boils down to. Clinton isn’t perfect, no one is, but she is wildly intelligent, thoroughly educated in every area of policy, calm, fair, steady hand at the wheel. Trump is objectively none of those things. This is a choice between Bill Gates or one of the deranged killers from an episode of Criminal Minds.
In other news: Dallas announces that they began adding Zyprexa to the municipal water supply in early July. Story at 11.
I don’t understand how this isn’t seen by everyone! I mean ok, Hillary has her faults, but so has every president since the first president. I’ve asked people to outline to me what is it that Bill & Hillary Clinton have done that is so much worse, so evil incarnate that it makes everything that just about every other legislator has done on capital hill pale in comparison? Nothing that’s what. They are playing on the exact same field as everyone else but they and most especially SHE is the Devil’s bride? We can compare and contrast all we want, the obvious responsible choice for the good of the nation & the world is Hillary Clinton no matter how you feel about her, period, end of discussion. Everything negative you can say about Hillary you can say about Dump, everything positive you can say about Hillary you CAN NOT say about Dump.
Seriously, this makes my morning…
Precisely. They do nothing to stop the country from changing more brown. That’s unforgivable to the Teatroll base.
Cue the obligatory, “I’m cancelling my subscription!” boasts from people who may or may not be subscribers.
It has something to do with 25 years of demonization by Faux news and the Right wing entertainment complex .All negative all the time no matter what she does. Turn on Faux at any point during the day I guarantee you will not go 15 minutes without a negative Hillary story
This won’t convince the diehards, but the suburban families who are on the fence will have something to think about. Don’t know if it will be enough to turn Texas blue, but it will make it close.
