Discussion: 'Daily Show' Standoff Between Native Americans And Redskins Likely To Air Tonight

Discussion for article #228088

With the Washington Snyders playing this evening it would be an ideal time to run this.

Kelli, sucks to be you when facts are presented and you have to run away.

“Still feeling aggrieved two days later, O’Dell called the police, who told her that no crime had been committed.”

Ohh, she’s gonna be aggrieved all to hell when the nation sees what a fool she is. Would not want to be in her shoes.

I have to wonder what crime she thought had occurred. Someone having an opinion different than hers?

Those who are ‘bested’

often feel duped.

Coming to a battle of wits unarmed has consequences.

The South Park season promo aired in our market during the game. Jaw dropped.

"The Native Americans accused me of things that were so wrong. "

Like having red skin?

It’s time for the word “enabler” to get used far more often in the discussion of racism. Period. You don’t have to be an active hater and bigot. You can be just like the millions of GOP/Teatrolls who think and claim that GOP/Teatroll economic policies are just about economics, i.e., ENABLERS of racism.

Kelli O’Dell, was so offended that she broke out in tears

Is this what is meant by the trail of tears? I think we know who the true victim is here…

When will good, honest, hardworking, white Americans be free of Redskin prejudice…

Snark.

Having to talk face-to-face with people you don’t believe you’ve offended could hardly be called an “ambush”. The ambushers could have ended up thanking the Redskins fans for honoring them via their support for the team, right?

“Brian Dortch, one of the fans who participated, told the Washington Post that they were assured there would be no “cross-panel discussion” with Native Americans…”

So…you’re alowed to continue to disparage others, and you don’t even want to talk to them?

I say we change the name to “Washington Assholes”

It’s more apt…

Oh, well, it’s almost like you’re willing to defend your beliefs up until you need to actually defend your beliefs.

That sums up a lot of the Fox News viewers, really. Their opinon is the only right and legal one.

“Redskins fans who participated have said they felt duped.” HELLO IDIOTS - have you never watched The Daily Show?

It is easy to defend the name in the abstract, but hard when confronted by the people being hurt.

Football is a damn game. It should be all about fun. Snyder is doing America a great disservice by being so unmoving or uncaring.

The name is offensive. That should be the end of the story.

Ah, but you see. The name isn’t offensive to them and therefore if you have a problem with it, it’s actually your defect, not theirs.

Until they need to explain that to an actual, you know, “redskin”.

“The Native Americans accused me of things that were so wrong when people are watching!”

Note to anyone asked to appear on any television program: watch at least three different times before appearing.

Or, shit, you know. Once?
