Samantha Bee was incredibly funny on the show. Her Improv classes must have been hysterical because only Stephen Colbert matches her insane wit. She and her husband Jason Jones have a new comedy on TNT or TBS.

It has to be acknowledged that she was given a ton of material to work from. I’d thank the GOP but they would consider that an attack by a raving Liberal.

My favorite was a war on Christmas segment which showed a skinny Samantha Bee mocking Christmas in the O’Reilly segment. He made it appear that it was a current or recent Daily Show segment.
It seemed odd to me because she had not been on the show for quite awhile. Then Jon Stewart interviews her after showing the O’Reilly clip.
Any changes in your life Sam, Stewart asks.
Sam replies. “Why no John.” What do you mean? The camera then pans away from a closeup. You can see a very pregnant Samantha Bee probably a couple of weeks from giving birth sitting in a chair. The O’Reilly piece had re-used an old Daily Show episode from a year or two years ago that had a Samatha Bee when she was clearly not pregnant and pretended that it was a current attack against Christmas.
I am sure she did not want to interrupt her maternity leave but for the laughs she got that night in the skit.

I was hoping they’d include that clip too! IIRC, the obviously pregnant Sam Bee points out that you can clearly tell that the piece from O’Reilly is older. The reason? The highlights in her hair are completely different.
She’s funny as hell. I hope she does well for herself and we see more of her somewhere else.
