Discussion for article #243878
Since we got the Guvs picture there, let me add these items that are breaking on the home front today for him:
“NEWARK — A federal judge harshly criticized the law firm hired by Gov. Chris Christie’s administration to investigate the George Washington Bridge scandal, questioning why it did not retain notes taken during witness interviews in the most high-profile political case in years.”
“TRENTON — New
Jersey tax collections so far this year were set back further in
November by increasingly sluggish corporation business tax collections.
Gov. Chris Christie’s
administration is banking on 3.4 percent growth to support spending in
this year’s budget. Collections were up 4.7 percent over last year as of
September, before dropping to 2.9 percent as of October. Figures released Wednesday show they are now at 2.8 percent”
Just a couple of things going on here in real time.awaiting the Guv,and his trip back from fantasyland.
Facts and Republicans?
Not so much.
Comedians can only benefit.
Actually, Carly’s story about working her way up from secretary is also a lie. She got a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and medieval history at Stanford University in 1976. During her summers, she worked as a secretary for Kelly Services, a typical white collar job in the 70’s for a student. After dropping out of law school after a semester, she worked as a receptionist for six months at a real estate firm, moving up to a broker position. Later she got an MBA in marketing and a master’s in management, and went on from there.
Apparently she got a little less high-minded after getting her undergraduate degree and decided that the big bucks were in corporate business, not philosophy and history.
There is no connection between her student and post-grad jobs and the jobs she got after her graduate degrees other than they were in offices, just like for most people.
This bit made me laugh.
“Today’s TV journalists — anchors like Chuck Todd, Jake Tapper and George Stephanopoulos — have picked up the torch of fact-checking and now grill candidates on issues of accuracy during live interviews.”
On top of that her parents were wealthy and “helped” her get her jobs in all cases and she didn’t have to pay a dime to go to school for all those years.
Apparently truth sells…who knew?
You misunderstand my response - Georgie Boy and Chuckie do no such thing, especially when they are talking to a fixture like McCain.
For a guy that pretty much tries to make a joke of everything, I can’t believe I missed it!
And the thought of one of those guys as president is the scariest thing of all!
The most remarkable thing about that chart is how strongly truthfulness is inversely correlated with poll standing among Republicans. Democrats are more or less in the same range, but there are great differences among Republicans, and the ones who lie the most generally do better.
They’re just telling the sheeple what they want to hear and what they believe without proof. They are people of faith.
