Discussion for article #244379
Trevor is so spot on; I like that he, like JS before him, really is passionate about this stuff. Especially as an outsider and someone who grew up in the Apartheid era in SAâŚthe whole part when he said âWhat really isnât believable is that the rest of us have to share the title of human-being with youâ was great because you can tell he meant it and I can tell he sees right through these people.
If that mashup of conservative pundits is to be the narrative here, theyâd have you believe that Obama can fake-cry at will when discussing a massacred 1st grade classroom because he actually doesnât really care and just needs the political points, and that he doesnât care about those who have died in other terror attacks.
Modern American conservatism, folks.
Honest to GodâŚit takes a COMEDY show to nail the absolute BS of the ânewsâ channels in covering this âissueâ. The fact that a person would even QUESTION tears when discussing the slaughter of 20+ children is absolutely heinous.
For me, the hideous thing about this admonition of Mr. Obama by FOX âpunditsâ is not the FOX âpunditsâ so much as their CONSUMERS.
Their viewers.
None of these video-parasites would have said a word on this theme had they not been instructed to do so by FOX ânewsâ. It was an assault worthy of a coordinated infantry-armor attack. And this effort was directed at the viewers of FOX ânewsâ for their consumption. Based on the DEMAND of their viewers for this.
The same viewers who smilingly and courteously fixed my car when I traveled through a Red state last year, remarking to meâin passingâhow proud they thought I must be of (fellow âLatinosâ) Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz.
The sad truth is that many of his political opponents and those in the RWNJ media donât have access to authentic feelings any more. They are so bound up in their angry effort to âwinâ against âliberalismâ that much that is human about them is suppressed. So of course they are cynical when they see the real thing.
I donât understand why all the uproar about this. Donât we know by now that the conservafucks/repukes/righties etc⌠truly donât give a fuck? Of course they donât believe that he would feel badly, because THEY wouldnât, they DONâT feel badly! A thief will always think someone is trying to steal from him because heâs a thief. The non-thief would never feel the same suspicion. Those putz (putzes?) cannot fathom why ANYONE let alone the socialist nazi Hussein Obama would cry.
You probably know that Vonnegut quote from Mother Night: âWe are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.â You stray too far for too long from your authentic self and it leads to all kinds of problems, like not being able to find your way back.
Not sure I buy that their humanity âis suppressed.â I think most are willfully ignorant, heartless ghouls that decided not to care about anyone they donât live with (and look like!).
Gee, why didnât the Fox News folks speculate that the President borrowed an onion from that blubbering bozo Boehner? They never called him out in any of his âwaterworks.â
I am not trained in this area, but what you say makes a lot of sense.
I remember the film âPatriot GamesââŚthe villain was so incensed with avenging his brotherâs death he killed the man responsible for his release. When that particular scene unfolded, my mind went to the word âbrotherâ.
And then the word âmadnessâ.
We have collective madness. Wrapped up and skilfully enabled by a host of other actors (primarily interested in $$$$$$$$$$$ for their efforts).
Itâs why Chris Christie gets vilified for shaking Obamaâs hand after hurricane Sandy. You are not allowed to show any gratitude or shared feelings of humanity with any representative of the left - let alone the Usurper in Cheif Obazama. Obama is never allowed to be human.
Unlike the so-called fair and balanced âjournalistsâ on Fox News, President Obama has actually met and spoken to the victims.Shameless cowards be they all these heathens at Fox.
.
Ted Cruz is Canadian.
Sadly, it makes a lot of sense when you realize that so many of the right wing noise machine and Republicans seem to be suffering from either psychopathy or sociopathy (or so it seems).
These are people who cannot understand actual human emotions anymore, at least not in the way a normal human expresses them. So itâs quite easy for them to argue that the president is crying âcrocodile tearsâ or to go so far as to dehumanize him (as Tantaros and others did), by arguing that the president used some outside agent to force himself to cry.

right. it also is the gop powers that be that generate this ideology and feed it to right wing radio and their republican tv media outlet, the fux. the fux revels in their anointed, exclusive position and willingly disseminates the lies, the distortions, and the hatred. their low info viewers cheer for more. the bubble is complete. spin, rinse, repeat cycle.
He probably cried after San Bernardino too, stifling his tears in public. And for a very good reason. It would be a horrendous blunder to make footage available to ISIS. If he had cried, we all know the attack from Republicans, âFeckless, emboldening, showing weakness.â
And that especially applies to Tantaros.
These âpeopleâ no doubt donât realize that President Obama visited privately with each family of the Sandy Hook victims. And that he visited privately with each family of the San Bernadino victims. And with families of the Oregon community college victims.
Iâm sure if Tantaros knew that, she would say that he makes those visits because, God help him, he loves it. He does love it so.

even if these âpeople?â knew that he met with the families, they would not care. they are well paid to knock obama at every opportunity, decency and humanity be damned. when obama was choking up he undoubtedly was remembering the raw hurt and emotions of those meetings. iâm also guessing that he is regretting that he could not have done more. i am not weak kneed or super emotional, but when i listen to a sandy hook victimsâ mom or dad expressing their pain and sense of loss, it does bring me to tears.
