Completely reasonable.
Why canât House Democrats unite to all say the same thing?
Democrats also need to be actively pointing out at every opportunity how impeachment works - and that, if Senate Republicans put party over country, trump would dodge the consequences of his actions.

Thatâs no fun. Leaders should show restrain, backbenchers should demand Trumpâs head. We donât want the dotard to feel too comfortable.

I agree about the approach. I was squarely in the âno impeachment yet cuz senate wonât convictâ camp before the report came out. Iâm now ready for them to introduce a motion to impeach whenever theyâre ready. I donât personally agree that Mitch will do the right thing EVER, but I believe theyâre now in at least as much in danger of losing voters if they acquit.
Always thinking about the next move
Iâm still waiting for the picture to emerge from the developer tray. But weâre in that phase now. Weâre moving on.
Iâve been back and forth on the issue. However, at this point I see a risk in not impeaching. It plays into the Republican narrative that the report exonerates Trump of any criminal action.
This is a good comment from Cummings and it shouldâve been the immediate talking point from minute 1. Pelosi is being moved by the caucus which almost certainly is feeling the heat from supporters and activist Dems. Accountability was a big theme of 2018. Impeachment was always a possibility and now that Mueller has delivered the goods in stark terms, we must move forward with investigations and eventually the thing itself.
The House should impeach, but they should do it soon. The sooner it is done and over with the better. But it does need to be done.
Reps. Cummings, Waters, Lee, and the CBC represent the conscience and moral center of the House. They know Trump is a racist who leads a racist party, and they have no patience for him.
