Discussion for article #231296
I know everyone is pretty “turnt” about this development, but I feel it’s incumbent upon me at this juncture to point out that the Surgeon General has determined that smoking is hazardous to your health
Huh…so I imagine out of principle conservative radio personalities will shy away from this import?
Rush is probably thinking more about sex tourism at this point.
Really? That was all I needed to know?
About 10 years ago I was working with a guy from England and he mentioned going to Cuba for vacation and I said, how’d you do that without jumping through a lot of hoops. And he said it’s just the US that so against them, to the UK they are just another nice tropical spot.
According to TPM, pretty much. Just don’t diss the headline writer, or Josh might give you an obnoxious smack down.

Dominican hookers are still illegal.
oh gawd, i hope obama gives out cigars as xmas presents to members of the senate… or at the very least, light one up at his next presser…
i am loving the flopping around by the republicans…
So Cuba’s “human rights” is worse than Israel’s against the Palestinians, or Bear Wrestling Putin, or even those proposed by the Tea Party and GOP here. Does Cuba destroy the homes and lands of dissenters or shout “let them eat cake” at every turn when discussing the poor and sick?
Another question is how long will the GOPTP resistance hold once major corporations (you know the ones who pay for their elections) discover another place to outsource our jobs? Imagine DH Horton America’s #1 ticky tacky builder’s ire when he won’t be able to move his business to Cuba because of the embargo.
Wonder if Obama will make Papa Cruz the US Ambassador to Cuba? Or what about Mrs. Rubio?
In other news…
In phone call, says @PressSec, Pres Obama told by Castro he would also release over 50 political prisoners.

Has anyone discussed The Hair Club For Men with Rubio?
Does this mean we can send Ted “La Nada Grande” Cruz back to Cuba ?
It’s my understanding that you can bring back $100 worth of tobacco products after going to Cuba; you won’t be able to order them on Amazon or anything for a while yet. And while travel seems a bit freer it’s not wide open until Congress says so and that won’t be for a couple of years at least. What about duty-free shops, etc? Can you bring in Cuban cigars bought outside Cuba? Good question. I have no idea. Personally I’m happier when I’m not smoking a cigar than when I am.
Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ): “I think it would be really counterproductive to block funding for an embassy."
I also saw an ad for a new drug for dry mouth last night he might want to know about.
And I’m happier when you’re not smoking a cigar anywhere in my airspace
He probably has been getting Cuban cigars for years too, evading US law.
I’m not sorry I managed to finally accept my powerlessness over my addiction, admit theres no such fucking thing as just a single smoke or a single puff and claw that damn monkey off my back a dozen years ago, and I haven’t been sorry since the regular cravings faded about two years later, but this is the closest I’ve been to being sorry. I did love a good cigar. Though, like bagpipes, they’re a vice best indulged in outdoors for the sake of all concerned.
Oh now they tell me, 25 years or more after I quit smoking!
On one trip to Canada in the 70’s, I hid a box in my luggage. They’re legal in Canada.
Customs did not search. I had fantasies of being thrown into a cell and beaten into confessing.
I was told they merely seized them if they did find them.
