Discussion: Cruz

Marco “Robo” Rubio beat you.
Donald “New York Values” Trump wiped the floor with you – in South Carolina.

Suck it, Cruz.

Only crazy people like you, and a lot of them like Trump more.

Time to cue the Shakespeare insult generator.

Before they were satirized, he subjected those kids to being in a campaign commercial with all of them on the couch mouthing their lines. This is what made the satire totally legitimate. Of course, Cruz made it all about the children - who he had already exposed to the public and used.

Besides, they beat them.

Not even the bible-wankers of South Carolina seem to like Ted Cruz. That “TrusTed” logo… he can paint it on the van as he go around the neighborhood looking for children.

I’m disgusted by Cruz’ use of the term “Washington Cartel” It has a ring of Columbian Drug Cartel and a Confederate Enemy. He is one evil antichrist. He can’t beat Trump especially being one of those “Washington Cartel” that he hates so much, The Federal Government of The United States of America. Go back to the Confederacy, Rebel

the screaming you hear now from across the Potomac is the Washington cartel in full terror that the conservative grassroots are rising up,

more likely the screaming we hear now from whatever river you are on the other side of has more to do with that poor evangelical voter whose throat you’re sticking your foul tongue into…

It will be too late for Trump to wage a third party campaign, but I can see a possibility that the GOP does a 1912 type split if Trump comes in with the most delegates and he’s blocked from getting the nomination, ESPECIALLY if the bosses draft Romney…

They are in terror, yes, of having an asshole for a nominee. What a mess of crap they offered to Americans to choose from!

He should really just go all the way and depict the T in his name as a cross, and put that little flame logo on it. We all know that’s the image he’s going for.

Sleaze. The Cruz people love to call Obama a divisive figure. There is no more hateful and divisive figure than Cruz. What a sleaze.

Since Threat McCruz absconded with his life after being in a closet with Bendo Carson, The Incredible Mr. Trumpley will have to eat him alive and will. Watch. GOTP politics are such a circus since the fat lady sang.

I had similar thoughts weeks ago, but have since confirmed that the republican national committee ‘rigged’ the process to minimize the possibility by having more winner-take-all versus proportional delegate representation.

Think of it this way - a primary can have a three-way split of 34% / 33% / 33% - the person with 34% gets all the delegates.

This was done because the proportional process damaged not only Mitt Romney, but was believed to have hurt the republican ‘brand’ the more they had to beat each other up to differentiate themselves from one another.

“You can go with Washington deal makers or we can stand together with a proven, consistent Constitutional conservative and bring back morning in America,” Cruz said.

The inevitable Supreme Court ruling finding Cruz not to be a natural born U.S. citizen is getting tastier and tastier…

I think you are right. Cruz is done but may not admit it today. Cruz lost in his most coveted place and no longer has a credible story to tell. Sort of like the days after he filibustered to shut down the government- after that stunt no one would look at him.

Rubio is gone, too. Rubio never had even one single state that works in his favor and this 3rd loss is looking like his first two. .

Trump carries the widest swath of the GOP, he gets support from every sector, and he should see larger percentages with Bush out and Carson probably on the way.

Cruz & Rubio will take votes from Trump until they don’t, but it won’t matter after yesterday’s results.

Kasich is the only bona fide GOP candidate, in my view, and he is not going away because he set up his campaign to feed off Super-PAC $.

In my estimation (don’t shoot me for this!) Kasich could sit in a key spot in a Clinton administration, and the appointment would serve as both a substantive placement and a token selection in recognition of the need to try to keep the GOP relevant.

It would be more like “mourning in America”.

Ted’s Truss!

Don’t forget Cruz worked as a law clerk for several judges, including Supreme Court Justice William Rehnquist from 1996 to 1997. He was a policy adviser to George W. Bush’s 2000 presidential campaign, including advocating on Bush’s behalf during the fight for a recount of Florida’s election results. “After a stint as associate deputy attorney general at the Department of Justice, Cruz became director of the Office of Policy Planning at the Federal Trade Commission in July 2001.” (source: http://www.biography.com/people/ted-cruz)

Yeah, Cruz is SUCH an outsider. Not part of the Washington cartel since 1996. Ugh.

He’ll take the VP spot if offered because he thinks he’s Frank Underwood.

TPM:

“Indeed, the screaming you hear now from across the Potomac is the Washington cartel in full terror that the conservative grassroots are rising up,” Cruz says.

No, Rafael, the screaming is because, in the best case scenario for the GOP, you’re an unelectable sociopath - and in the worst case scenario you actually get elected, damage the country, and permanently destroy the Conservative brand.
