“And in Michigan this is a hugely bipartisan nonpartisan issue that everybody cares about.”

Stupid Canadians. They have nice clean water, so don’t care about Americans who don’t have that same privilege.

Surely this can be solved via offsets? I’m sure some welfare program can be cut.

Cruz:
it is an outrage that these people have been getting all of this valuable lead for free right out of their water faucet - they should sell all of that lead & buy their own new pipes.

He really is a giant, roughly human-shaped bag of sewage.

Like I said before, the MSM False Equivalency people are indirectly responsible for creating a political organization in which this is looked at as “policy”.

Americans are going to have to figure a way to get around this.

The enemy is the MSM.

Quite a bit of movement from last week’s polling where Cruz led by eight points

Cruz Spox: Staffers are simply reviewing the bill right now.

The GOP’s chief concern is that children might get safe drinking water.

“You give it to these inner-city kids now, and they’ll just come to expect it as adults,” one Senator said.

Another added, “Soon they’ll want breathable air, and who knows where that’ll lead.”

Staffers are busy drafting amendments to cut corporate taxes while privatizing Flint’s air and water.

Even by the bizzaro GOP presidential nomination standards of 2016, this has got to be a campaign killer. An unrecoverable fumble. An inexcusable lapse.

Doesn’t it?

Please God, doesn’t it?

“We have heard that — and not a very smart move for a man who’s going to be in a primary in Michigan on March 8," Stabenow told Politico…

Seriously… Does this guy understand how running for office works?

That’s quite an insulting analogy.

Fecal matter contains many useful ingredients and is actually beneficial when used as fertilizer.

I mean… I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt that he’s not against clean drinking water, and is just being a douche and checking the drafter’s grammar…

But this is the sort of public perception disaster that anyone on the street could see coming. Does he not have a communications director?

Oh wait, he just fired him…

Never thought SILLY SEASON would bring us such day to day stupidity as the GOP has provided thus far.

I’m gong to go out on a limb and guess that he’s going to grandstand on this one because it’s such a front-and-center emergency issue and so high profile. We’ll be treated to a rant that includes one of the Teatrolls’ favorites: yammering about Detroit and Baltimore and “failed liberal cities”…you know, manufacturing cities that were really destroyed by the GOP trying to shift us from manufacturing to financial services as the cornerstone of our economy because their masters had had enough of unionized labor and wanted to ship all our manufacturing jobs overseas where they get to treat people like real slave labor.

Well, the lead poisoning does effect everyone who drank it, regardless of party affiliation. I also suppose the Republicans in the state would just like it to go away on someone else’s dime, so perhaps that makes the solution a non-partisan issue.

I’m so torn over wanting to Cruz to continue being a douchebag… uh, himself… and the need to get the relief there as quickly as possible.

Where is General Ripper when we need him?

Just how much jerk-ness (I’m looking for euphemisms here) can this guy cram into a work day? A true candidate to work for the “common good and welfare of all”.

It’s a quote from a person speaking. Put a comma between bipartisan, nonpartisan and you can almost see the wheels turning in their head while they are saying it.

Damn straight! Clean water literally falls out of the sky.

Are there no pots or pans? Are there no buckets?
