TPM typically over-hypes the headline, but this one is an extreme understatement of Cruz’s absolute rant on Trump. It was extraordinary!
Yeah, I am surprised there is not more on it yet. Cruz absolutely went off on Trump.
Of course, were he a Democrat, he’d have just confessed to his father assassinating a US President, and we’d have half a dozen investigations already begun.

when he admits he’s the Zodiac it’ll be a hand written letter to SF Chronicle… he didn’t have time to write and deliver it in the 20 min he was here for the California Repub Convention before jetting off to be on hand for his loss in Indiana…

It’s hard to ridicule a guy who is the personification of ridiculous in his speeches and his appearance. Combed over orange hair on a bald head, sprayed on tan, concealer around his eyes giving him a frightened look, and the arms waving at all times. He thinks he’s the greatest, the rubes tell him he’s the greatest even though they come to his rallies in trucks and he leaves the place on his own jet to New York, and they continue to think he’s one of them. How you gonna puncture that ego.
It was much more than that … he pretty much lit into Trump with all the criticisms we share here. I’ve not seen anything like it.
You know. I’ve never understood people who slow down to cruise by accidents, getting a eyeful. I’ve never understood the appeal.

What if he had done that from the start? Cruz didn’t take Trump seriously at the beginning, which itself is totally understandable by the way. But he was constantly kissing the Drumpy ass back then… probably with the assumption he would get Drumpf supporters once the guy imploded. It might not have made any difference to the outcome of the GOP primaries, but in hindsight it feels like a big misstep by the Cruz camp.
