Discussion: Cruz Says Failure To Disclose 2012 Goldman Sachs Loan Was 'Filing Error'

"Heidi and I when we ran for Senate, we made decision to put our liquid net worth into the campaign. And so we did so through a combination of savings — liquidating our savings accounts — through a combination of selling assets,

Although Cruz did not include the loan on disclosure forms filed to the Federal Elections Commission (FEC), he later disclosed the Goldman Sachs loan, as well as another loan from Citibank, to the Senate, according to the Times.

This action shows how much power that the FEC actually has now. I’m willing to place a wager that he revealed this, because senate investigators caught wind of the improprieties via the rumor machine.

Well that certainly clears him of any connection to Wall Street and Manhattan’s high-brow, Yankee sensibilities.

He’s just a good ol’ Texas Christian boy-- dancin’’ on Saturday night, kneelin’ on Sunday morning, lovin’ America 24/7, 'cept when he threatens to secede.

Sure, it’s a filing error that conveniently fits into his false narrative of an outsider who ran an insurgent campaign. I wonder if it would impact his support if it was clear from the start that he was and is a Goldman/Citi backed candidate? His ability to lie straight faced to his supporters makes him a perfect republican.

On a side note, he has the shoulders of a trout. I can’t trust a guy whose hips are as wide as his shoulders.

Bingo. A guy running as an anti Wall Street maverick would find it awkward to explain that his campaign was in fact funded by Wall Street when he had said he ran on his and his dear wife’s savings. hahahaha and ha.

The way out (and I’ll let Trump or Cruz do this, if they credit me): Ride to the refuge on a horse and negotiate a end to the siege of the bird sanctuary. This demonstrates resolve, and leadership, and a belief that the lunatic fringe are people too.

And everyone will cheer, and no one will remember that you really are just a grifting dick. Maybe.

That’s right, podner, he’s just a Texas Tea Party good 'ol boy, salt of the earth, a simple man, a man of the people, especially when he says things like ā€œand then we had a brokerage account that has a standard margin loan that any brokerage account has,ā€ I mean shoot, who don’t know that?

A mere error. Funny how these errors always understate how much these clowns get from Wall Street and the big banks, and never overstate it.

Of course it was an error. A million plus gets misplaced all the time.

ā€œtechnical and inadvertent filing errorā€¦ā€

Amazing how often this happens with Republican office-holders.

And note that they ALWAYS forget relevant and significant things, never trivial stuff that might actually slip one’s mind…
