Just watching The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell. His guest is Laurence Tribe, professor of constitutional law at Harvard who taught Cruz, Obama, and Chief Justice Roberts.
First, he disagrees with Cruz that the law is settled: “there is no authoritative answer to that question. It doesn’t become straightforward just because Ted Cruz wants it to be.” He also said that while Cruz was “a very smart student”, Obama and Roberts were “at least as smart, I would say, even better.”
Just want to record that fact.
