âThere is one person and one person only talking about shutting down the government, and that is the White House,â Cruz told the Washington Post
The White House isnât a person, dumbass, and I seem to remember your buddy McConnell (among others) floating that idea mere days ago.
See? Heâs a moderate, a compromiser, a statesman who is willing to throw the olive branch out to the the Muslim Socialist.
Cruz is a RINO!
Trouble was he was against the last shutdown if I recall. Or at least so he saysâŚ
Cruz denies reality again âŚfilm at 11:00
Lets seeâŚHe doesnât know the positions of other leading members of his party, and he doesnât know how to use the language of his adopted country. Yup, thatâs POTUS material.
OKâŚwhere is the WH calling for a government shutdown? The press gives this silly man Cruz free rein to repeatedly lie. Pitiful!

âThere is one person and one person only talking about shutting down the government, and that is the White House,â Cruz told the Washington Post
âŚ
Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) said Wednesday that the Republican House may have no choice but to deny the government funding for 2015 if President Barack Obama goes ahead with plans to legalize millions of illegal immigrants.
According to King, âall bets are offâ on a continuing spending bill for the government if Obama moves ahead on his own.

(yes, TheBlazeâŚI went there so you wonât have toâŚ)
So despite what Cruz is claiming, The White House is not in fact the ones talking about government shut down. As you can see, King mentioned it, Oh! and so has Mitch McConnell.
But who are you gonna believe, Cruz, or your lying eyes?
Now youâll have to excuse me; I have to go wash the stench of TheBlaze off me.
Fer cryinâ out loud. All bets have been off for a while.
And there is the GOP strategy written plain: make President Obama responsible for shutting down the government if he vetos the funding resolution with unacceptable immigration riders attached; and then attempt to turn the ensuing public reaction against the shutdown against Democratic candidates in the upcoming election.
The fight will be over control of the message, and the goal is to have the bigger partisan GOTV. Democrats, donât get mad or cynical, get even! Remember 2010!
Nice try Cruz, but your party owns any government shutdown at any time. It doesnât matter what he says, if his lips are moving he is lying. He IS a Republican after all.
Thatâs actually âthe vacationingâ Ted Cruz, who is resting up from having completed an exhaustive week accomplishing⌠uhâŚ
Oh, I am just salivating over this. Go right ahead. Please. By all means.
Republicans control the House. Thereâs no excuse for the Speaker to never have passed all 12 appropriations bills on time, not even once during his sorry excuse of a Speakership. Unless they do, the next shutdown will be 100 percent Republicansâ fault, as was every previous shutdown.
Republicans think corporations are people, so why not a White House?
How is it that so many people are reporting on âCruz rejects calls to shut down govtâ when all he did was do what he has always done - say that if there is a shut down, it is Obama doing it.
Cruz Rejects Notion That Republicans Will Take Blame For Shutting Down Government Over Immigration
Headline edited for accuracy. Cruz is TOTALLY down with shutting the government down â not because it will accomplish anything (other than blowing ANOTHER hole in the deficit), but because it will bring his wild-eyed, drooling followers to the polls.
Not true! The media is just being fair and balanced, showing BOTH sides of the argument⌠and weâll leave it there.
