Mr. Cruz, one needs a significant majority to claim a mandate – not a minority!
I am now convinced that mandate means something else in republicanese. Does anyone have a republican to english dictionary?
Even with Trump on the scene, Ted Cruz still has the most punchable face in DC.
The only promise that most people care about is the return of those manufacturing jobs that Trump said he’d bring back. They don’t want you to touch the ACA, Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid. The problem is that the government can’t do a single thing to force those jobs back into the US or to roll back to before automation made them fire most of the people the once had working for them. What it can do is ease regulations and taxes on small businesses and entrepreneurs while making sure that large businesses face taxes they have to pay and reasonable regulations. Oh, and we have to have a legitimate definition of small vs. large business. Maybe the cut off should be something like 30 emploees or something.
He looks like an evil Bob Hope
Bob Hopeless…
It’s hard to call it a “mandate” when you lost the popular vote and there are calls for recounts.
A little more each day, with the Republicans, I feel like we are in an episode of “Black Mirror.” Very dark … and backward.
Do you have any George Orwell books handy?
a) You don’t have majority support.
b) Event the wingnuts won’t like your Medicare-slashing agenda.
Please proceed off the cliff.
mandate = more Republican problems with math
btw… how do you renege on promises you’ve made on both sides of any particular issue?
To the GOP, a president winning a majority of electoral votes despite losing the popular vote is a mandate, but a Democrat winning both handily isn’t. Welcome to post truth America.
Where are and who are the evil Bing Crosby and Dorothy Lamar? And what “Road to…” will they travel on?
Oh good, pitchforks and torches. Republicans live in a dark medieval world of dungeons and dragons, a world lit by open flame with mankind’s better angels staked to straw.
To Trump and Republicans the world is what you yourself wish it to be. In this twitter age, nothing is true (unless you can see it with your eyes or hear it with your own ears) and everything is true (if you hear about but cannot verify it for yourself and it fits your preconceptions). Absent science, the world of the isolated skeptic shrinks to a perimeter just beyond his or her body, while the world of the isolated true believer continues to expand without bounds into self-deluding and dangerous fantasy. The universe doesn’t care. It will get along just fine without either human curiosity and reason on the one hand or mankind’s hopes and foolishness on the other. This planet though is shaped by them. Too bad the real pain so many today experience tipped the balance to foolishness on November 8. If, in fact, it did.
We can no longer fly over the cuckoo’s nest. We can only wait to be kicked out.
Once Cruz figures out how the ring attaches to the pitchfork, there will be no stopping him.
Do tell Mr. Cruz.
How prescient of you.
Just curious .
Will it be when the Steel Mills don’t reopen?
Will it be when the Coal mines don’t reopen and coal isn’t #1 again?
Will it be when the car factories don’t reopen and all the manufacturing in Mexico continues?
Will it be when China assumes the US position on trade partnership in southeast Asia and US manufacturing suffer?
Will it be when Americans start dying in conflicts that result from diplomatic missteps?
So many possibilities there Mr. Nostradamus Jr Please tell all
Road to Ruin…Perdition…or maybe the highway to hell.
I did, but it keeps constantly changing so I gave up on it. Sort of like the republican Constitution I had before I realized that every republican has their own personal version and none of them are the same.
Please please please let them overplay their hand…
