His panic is the result of knowing that his daffy supporters are dumb as posts, and can only understand the issue as “Born in Canada” before they get all confused and stop listening. I’d be worried too, because it does seem many people are quite CONCERNED!

Anyone who knows anything about the law…and certainly myself and fellow attorneys…knows that Tribe qualifies as one of those rare people who “wrote ‘The Book’ on [insert something].” His name is inescapable and falls into the sort of category as such names as Pfalsgraf or Marbury or Darrow. Legend. Dude is fucking brilliant and forgot more about Constitutional law during his morning constitutional (bad pun intended) today than Cruz has ever known sum total.

It’s quite possible that Tribe is just trolling. There are only two types of citizenship-natural-born and naturalized. The USSC hasn’t ruled on only one fine point: is any natural-born citizen eligible to be President under Article One?
US Citizenship grew out of British citizenship and isn’t much different today. Citizenship is supposed to be inclusive rather than exclusive.
The problem is that the gang of five on the USSC will screw the whole country in order to slavishly lick the butt cracks of their masters-the owners of the repig party. Gawd only knows what this group of idiots and traitors would decide in a NBC case. But, at least it would put the question to bed-unless they wimp out like they did in Bush v. Gore.
No, the best way to get a Democrat in the Whitehouse is for no Republican to win the nomination outright and it go down to a convention fight with Cruz and Trump throwing every bit of shit at each other they can find. Then the establishment changing the rules to parachute in their own favored candidate leading Trump to make a third party run, splitting the GOP vote in the Presidential race and the House and Senate races to boot.
At the end of the debacle, Hilary takes the oath of office in front of a Congress where Democrats control both Houses and immediately begins work on nominating a replacement for Scalia whose timely demise was caused by a coughing fit brought on by the election result.

I have heard the expression, “He’d sell out his best friend”. Usually it is a figure of speech. In this man, it is not.
I have been in the Academy for 44 years. I am now an Emeritus. I have seldom, if ever, seen a case such as displayed by Cruz today in dismissing his former Professor in such disparaging terms.
The blatant disregard for humanity in his rendering of Tribe as an “activist” will, of course, fall on deaf
ears with his dimwitted followers.
But not everyone.
