“Throughout the government shutdown, I opposed a government shutdown. I said we shouldn’t shut the government down. I think it was a mistake that President Obama and the Democrats shut the government down this fall.”

Now he’s taking credit for it.

Who could possibly trust a man who lies like this? And there is no question that he’s lying – he’s given two diametrically opposed answers to the same question.

I keep hoping he’ll make good on the Reichtard fantasy of secession. Move 'em all into Tejas - although keep Austin, sort of like a West Berlin thing (or “thang”) - and wall off the rest of those treasonous bastards. Have Cruz declare himself Emperor Rafael el Primero, and be done with it.

If there were such a thing as a “liberal media” his pro/con shutdown statements would be shown repeatedly back to back until he was ground into dust. Unfortunately, we don’t have a liberal media.

This is where Cruz breaks away from the pack to lead the party.
With the mandate he just got from winning the all-important straw poll at the super-influential Republican Leadership Conference, he just wiped the field clean of any viable challengers and he’s now on the fast track to pocket the nomination and sweep into the White House.
It’s a juggernaut, I tell yuh.
