Discussion for article #246865
Ted needs to learn to count to 14.
Ted must be destroyed. That is all.
“That’s the way it’s been for two centuries of our nation’s history until five unelected judges in an illegitimate and wrong decision decided to seize the authority over marriage and wrongfully tear down the marriage laws of all 50 states,” he said.
TL:DR: “slavery was a legal practice in this country, until a bunch of guys in the north got together and decided to beat up on them poor southerners.”
Ted’s lucky his parents lived. If he had been stuck in an orphanage, nobody would have bothered adopting him.
“From there he pivoted to his usual pillaring of the Supreme Court decision that legalized same-sex marriage.”
Pillorying. PILLORYING! Come on!
I think I just heard on the Faux livestream Cruz suggest we ought to go back to Raygun’s Star War missile defense system (SDI) to deal with N. Korea’s nuclear program, which was a complete ruse from day one. He did so without mentioning 1)Raygun by name, an amazing feat for such a pompous asshole who likes to fashion himself as a Raygun acolyte… 2) without mentioning it was a totally bogus program meant to scare the opposition into submission but was abandoned because it was all bluster from the beginning…and, 3) he blamed N. Korea’s nuclear program on Clinton and not Bush, which is another amazing rewrite of recent history.
Whatever happened to his nephew that his parents took in? You know, the one with the lightning bolt scar on his head.
You heard correctly
Yea…any return would bring up the same questions as before.
“That’s the way it’s been for two centuries of our nation’s history until five unelected judges

Lord? Can I cash in that ‘One Free Smiting Gift Card’ now?

So the self-labelled constitutionalist is mouthing off about unelected judges.
Real constitutional expert we got here.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) refused to say at Thursday GOP's debate whether he believed a gay couple should be able to adopt
until five unelected judges in an illegitimate and wrong decision decided to seize the authority over marriage and wrongfully tear down the marriage laws of all 50 states," he said.
Sounds like he answered it to me ---
This is what I think he was referring to…

It wasn’t until 2002 when Bush named N. Korea in his “axis of evil” State of the Union speech that N. Korea decided to put all their resources into their nuclear weapons program and decided to test it out. Until then, they had only played around the edges of nuclear technology, giving something for the world community to be vigilant in paying attention to, but had still been open to negotiations over IAEA inspections, albeit somewhat deceptively. Bush changed the calculus by introducing his NeoCon belligerence on the world stage.
If we’ve learned nothing else from the Bush years, we should remember this…hubris by an American President is a very dangerous thing. A Cruz or dRumpf, or even a Rubio Presidency would be a disaster for us internationally. The Neocons would be back in charge of foreign policy and the hubris they displayed would be back in full force. How many more wars during our lifetime can this country as a whole stomach?
He has that transgender car-crasher guy’s endorsement. What could go wrong?
SDI is the same thing and its one of the reasons why there was an anti ballistic treaty (that W took us out of in '02) that limited that type of ‘imagination’.
There is however an outer space treaty that is supposed to make weaponizing that area illegal. Howevvvaa
wha are ya? crazy (s)
It was $100B well spent in 1972; that’s nearly $600 billion in today’s dollars. (It’s not like it was some $1.5 trillion dollar fighter jet bamboozle.)
Cruz :: Reagan = Shit :: Cream Pie
Okay. Just kidding.
sCruz says “Adoption is decided at the state level.” But love is decided in the heart. If only he had one.
I think Ted needs to re read article three of the Constitution wherein it explains the duties of the Judiciary. Then article 2 wherein it explains that with the advice and consent of the senate the President appoints Justices. It’s really rather clear Ted. There’s good reason why justices aren’t elected. Ted you are smart enough to figure that out.
