Discussion: Cruz Claims Victory In North Dakota Even Though Delegates Are Unbound

Wait…what?

Well, this election cycle is certainly turning into one big civics lesson on how jacked up the American electoral process is…

Ted Cruz is such a wonderful Christian man…

Because they live near his native country?

If Woody Woodpecker arranged for Delegates to be denied Donald Trump (deemed by The Economist to be in a neck and neck race with Terrorism to be the Sixth Greatest Threat to World Security), I’ll take it.

The longer Trump is not marginalized (he is STILL on the Major Political Party stage) the worse our public discourse gets.

The WaPo Bob Woodward-Robert Costa interview on Trump was scandalous.

And you would rather get Cruz? That guy is a certifiable nutcase.

At least Trump is honestly dishonest, in that he isn’t a true believer in anything.

Cruz is the real-deal right-wing asshole.

Yes.

What, TPM, you note ND but you don´t mention that Sanders may win the majority of NV delegates after all?

Emiliano,

I am usually directly aligned with your well-reasoned posts, but on this one, No. Ted Cruz, in my opinion, is much, much, more dangerous as the Republican nominee than Donald Trump for the simple reason that he could more likely win. People like you and me can see Ted Cruz for what he is, but to the many, many voters who are not yet paying attention, he is much too much of a clean slate. And he has shown all too well that he is willing to do just about anything to win. Remember, he cut his teeth during the 2000 election. No, I want Trump to get the nomination because I think that virtually assures a Hillary Clinton (or even Bernie Sanders) victory in November.
