Now Cruz is getting desperate.
After Trump’s coup of getting the “Wassilla Hillbilly” to endorse him, Cruz is seeing himself being cut-off at the knees by the “Establishment” Republicans (Iowa Gov for example) and his Evangelical Vote is starting to waver with all the revelations (pun intended) about his Goldman Sachs and “Liberal” connections (serving as a law clerk for Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist from 1996 to 1997.)
Of course, nothing is more dangerous than a cornered rat, so…

"Donald Trump on Friday morning released a new campaign ad that accuses Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) of flip-flopping on immigration and supporting “amnesty.”

"Cruz attempted to put himself to the right of Trump on immigration by accusing Trump of being pro-“amnesty.”

Oh, this gon’ be good… it means each one will get increasingly desperate to prove that HE is more anti-amnesty and anti-immigrant, which means increasingly inflammatory rhetoric about how loathsome all non-white/non-Christian immigrants are.

Which in turn means many tens of thousands of socially liberal but fiscally conservative immigrants—people who might be receptive to messages from a moderately conservative political party that isn’t completely batshit crazy—will decide, “Nope, that does it, nobody in our family is going to vote for any Republican ever.”

“So Donald Trump’s position is once you deport them, it’s what’s called touchback. A lot of establishment Republicans had touchback,” Cruz said in an interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos that aired Friday. “Basically you make them fly back to their country for a minute, touch the ground, and then they come back with amnesty as citizens. Now, Donald is entitled to do that. He can advance that position, but he doesn’t get to pretend that it’s not amnesty if he’s legalizing 12 million people [who are] here illegally.”

Huh. So with this blah blah blah Cruz is trying to beat the “Mexicans are rapists! Thousands of Muslims were cheering!! Great Wall of Trump!!!”?

I’m not sure if it works…

Cruz is evidently saying his policy entails the deportation of 12,000,000 people from the United States. If he had 8 years in office he would need to deport 171 people every hour of every day, 7 days a week, for 2,920 days to accomplish that. That includes forcing Immigration and border officials to work 3 shifts of mandatory overtime on the Sabbath, Sunday. For his entire two terms. This from a Christian. Would a journalist please ask Cruz for his specific plans making possible the deportation of 171 people an hour, 24/7, for 8 years without pause?

Grant Cruz a GOP successor also serving two terms. Now Republicans have 16 years to do it. And they would merely need to deport roughly 86 people every hour for 16 years. There, I halved your workload. Explain how you’ll do it.

Well, I look at it this way: At least they’re telling lies about each other. Let’s just get out of their way and let them punch, pull hair, spit and roll in the mud – with their own.

You better stand back a good distance, and preferably behind a glass wall—pretty soon they’ll be flinging their poop at each other.

It’s sort of like being at the zoo.

That would only work, if either man were attractive to begin with. All things being equal, I would rather see a live action series involving Porky and Petunia Pig in marriage counseling.

It’s like political Ebola, passing quickly from one victim to another, switching off brain cells and turning on tongue cells…

Some of you history buffs may be thinking back to 1964—in particular, the 1964 Toho Co. Ltd. production Godzilla vs. Mothra. That’s when they started taking monsters that had appeared singly in previous productions and set them against each other. If you like films that were so bad they were good, and where the impossibility of suspending your disbelief is just part of the fun, it was kind of a golden age. That’s how I’m looking at all this insanity. I can’t think of any other way to react to this election cycle that doesn’t involve near-constant weeping.

Ted Cruz is the sleaziest and most dangerous politician to run for office since Joseph McCarthy.

Caged singing twin faries would be nice…

But there’s so many to choose from… Is it Godzilla vs. Mothra, or is it Godzilla vs. Hedorah? or Godzilla vs. Gigan? Megalon? Mechagodzilla? Decisions, decisions…

We’ll have to see about that, but while we wait here’s Colbert doing Sarah, and it’s up there with his trippy best. Should start about 3:55 but what comes before isn’t bad either.
