Yeah, buddy.

Sure looks like the whole f***ing family is involved in this murder.

If Saddam Hussein and his sons were menacing tyrants, well,

Any guesses?

So, part of the plot or a cause of it?

He needs to be expelled.

One aspect of all this I find mystifying is why the U.S. and others aren’t insisting on being told where Khashoggi’s body is. The Saudis have conceded he died in the consulate, regardless all the other chaff discharged with their explanations. Sanctions are justified if for no other reason than Saudi refusal to produce the body.

He already went back to Saudi with no date-of-return specified.

Because I think it’s grosser than most of us can imagine and that would force the US to actually have to do something as punishment. But, because PP and Kushner are so financially entangled, they don’t want to bite the hands that feed them.

So, if he died in a fist fight, WHERE IS THE BODY???

The intact body

Harvard and Georgetown should be grateful to have educated such a fine person.

So is that the call to the US that one of the killers made right after the murder? To the brother who is the US ambassador?

I’m sort of amazed that Kashoggi felt he would be safe at the embassy in Turkey, especially after what would appear to easily be deciphered as a trap being laid by the brother of MBS. He didn’t fall for going back to Saudi and he was smart enough to know about embassies.

Now I’m kind of wondering about the fiancee. In a way, she kind of delivered him to their clutches.

Gotta love Otto Korrect.

I don’t understand what sort of documents he needed from the House of Saud to get married. He was a permanent US resident … couldn’t he have married here?

Oooh, you get to wear the Crown of Cynicism today! On the other hand, Henry Chinaski said, “Many a good man has been send under the bridge by a woman.”

Yep. I’m cynical, but I did say “I wonder”, not “I’m sure”. I’m not accusing her, just wondering what on Earth made him think he would be safe in the Saudi Embassy in Turkey. He’s knew full well that embassies are considered sovereign soil of the their respected countries. He had to know he was no safer there than going to Saudi itself. And in Turkey of all places. I don’t know…it’s all fucked up.

I doubt that there was a Saudi diplomatic facility anywhere in the world that was safe for him to visit. I suspect that Turkey might have been safer than most, given the animus between Istanbul and Riyadh. For sure, I think Fat Nixon would have instructed the CIA and No Such Agency and the rest of the alphabet soup crowd to stand down if he’d visited the Washington Embassy.

Good point.

I’m voting on “Well this didn’t work, so what else can we do to get him under control?”
I did know that Khashoggi’s fiancee was Turkish, but I didn’t know that Khashoggi’s family originally was from Turkey. So now I wonder which Khashoggi extended family member is close to Erdogan.
