FIFYI caught a bit of the speech and really enjoyed it.
The very best part of her speech is when she told the crowd that, if you’re a minority or a woman, not voting disrespects your ancestors. It does. It really, really does.
I loved that. When you look back at what minorities and women were subjected to…and how quickly we have come to taking it for granted…i am gobsmacked.
Honestly, I got a little teary eyed when I realized my paternal grandmother, who died at 21 years old, never had the right to vote. My grandmother, not some distant relative from several generations ago, my dad’s mom.
I can see her starting her own magazine, as well. She could go far one day…
We haven’t even had the vote for 100 years yet. Aug 18, 1920 the 19th Amendment was ratified.
Women should be aware of our milestones from voting rights to the ability of unmarried women to obtain contraceptive to the right to a safe and legal abortion.
And we should also never forget that the ERA never made it to ratification…
All women aren’t white, Trump supporting women. Most of us didn’t support him.
I’d bet those women pictured aren’t really blondes either.

Man, I live in Georgia, and Abrams is doing well. The key though, is she’s got to get over 50% and win. We DON’T need a runoff. Worse shenanigans than are happening now could happen if this turns into a runoff.
