Discussion: Crisis Governing Is Back With A Vengeance In The New Congress

Discussion for article #233757

Governing? That’s a joke right?

John Boehner’s intransigence and irrational behavior as a result of his alcoholism is holding up funding for national security.

Back with a vengeance? When did it ever leave?

please oh please republicons continue to step all over your tiny dick again again and again…

The cognitive dissonance with these guys is mind boggling.

Harry Reid cannot dictate what the House passes. They have the numbers in the House to do whatever they want.

However, Reid can block, and Obama can Veto laws they don’t like. they have the numbers to do so. And there is nothing the Republicans can do about it.

What so hard to understand?

The GOP is the dog who caught the car: they chased after it but now can’t do anything with it and are only hurting themselves.

Maybe with the GOP having both houses and the country still lurching from crisis to crisis, maybe now people will stop blaming both parties for the dysfunction.

And it sets the tone for the rest of the year, imperiling the hopes of Boehner and new Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to move past the futile battles of the past and lock in some substantial achievements.

Such is life when your entire worldview is driven by hatred. What the hell did they think was going to happen?

Causing crises is built in to their personalities. It won’t change without a change of congressmen.
