Wow, this is turning out to be a really, really nice day, as the GOP continues their inevitable, highly enjoyable, implosion.

Maybe there’s still hope in bringing democracy back to North Carolina.

You know why can’t we broaden that to the entire south? Things never looked better to turn whole states blue.

Meanwhile…

Hope in Pennsylvania

And the PA Supreme Court is five Democrats, two Republicans.

Art Pope has a big sadz tonight, and that makes me very, very happy.

This is major. Republicans can kiss their ill-gotten and undemocratic 8 percentage points built-in advantage goodbye if this holds up.

Judging purely from “that funky smell,” I thought it was an immolation. Shows you what I know.

"or the court will appoint a special master to do it for them. "

Would have given a months pay to see GOP facial expressions hearing that.

immolation - implosion

Let’s write the whole GOP off…

Can you even imagine standing in front of the Supreme Court and arguing for the right to draw congressional districts that like like squashed jellyfish and admitting that it’s because you don’t want Democrats to have representation that’s equal to their votes? These people have ZERO shame.

A panel of three federal judges has ordered the state to redraw its congressional map again, forbidding North Carolina from holding this year’s scheduled U.S. House elections until it does.

NBC’s Raleigh outfit reported this additional detail, which I don’t understand. Has something like this ever happened before now?

This is only good, and a good start…and another reason why the Republicans are pushing so hard to fill the judiciary with their lackeys. The justice system is finally waking up and realizing the inherent unfairness of political gerrymandering at the level the Republicans have used since 2010, just in time for the next Census and redrawing of districts after 2020. The unfair advantage Republicans have due to gerrymandering is about to end, and that will be a good thing for the nation as a whole, as well as the Republican party…more centrists will bring them back from the edge of lunacy they are now on.

Hell, it must be fogged in everywhere. I hope they don’t run out of “refreshments”.

But they promise to fix it by 2018 election and absolutely fix it by 2020 election so it almost lays out as it does now.
Were just going to change the road names.
