Discussion: Court Rules Kansas School Budget 'Inadequate' Under Constitution

That only works for fighting climate change and anti bdsm laws. Pray the gray away!

Darwin award.

That election and the race for FL governor were the two races that I least understood the outcome. I understood why McConnell, Walker, Snyder, and Kasich survived, why Begich, Landrieu, and Pryor fell. I don’t understand reelecting someone who has been this big of a disaster. “What’s the Matter with Kansas” is still a good question.

And the rural, population starved residents believe they’d have so much more if it weren’t for minorities taking everything from them.

The absence of a functioning Democratic party outside Wyandotte County is the reason Brownback won. If you want to blame somebody, blame Rahm Emanuel and his hatred of Howard Dean’s 50 state strategy. Also blame the Koch brothers. They bought a lot of ads. Finally, blame the local media that is totally onboard with the idea that telling Kansans their state is in deep trouble is bad for their bottom line.

He still appeals to the social conservatives, and they were the ones who came out to vote. Had it been a presidential election year we would have ousted him, Pat Roberts, and Kobach. But you go to election with the voters you get.

Another GOP miracle. These guys sure blow the accountability part of their responsibility. I guess when your first loyalty is to a bunch of Tealiban the kids can just go read Rush Revere. They don’t need an education to dig ditches for the Kochs.

Now if all 50 states would have judges that saw through the B.S. of the Tea Party and forced proper funding of public education. Next issue to be addressed is the intrusion of Creationist/Intelligent Design religious claptrap into science classrooms.

The three-judge panel should have been taught to spell, too: on page 1 of the Memorandum and Opinion, “as to the necessity therefore” should read therefor. A very boring correction, I admit.

Of course he’s going to appeal it. One of the central goals of his tax-slashing trickle-down plutocratic voodoo economic buttfucking of the KS budget is to manufacture an excuse for defunding and ultimately destroying public education in the state by starving it (and then, no doubt, yelling about “see!!! we told you it just doesn’t work and gov’t can’t do it right!!!”). This ruling directly threatens his entire plan and he must now shop for a convenient judge to overturn it.

You weren’t perhaps watching South Park on Comedy Central last night, were you? Cuz yeah, the chickenfucker episode was on haha. In fact, they gave us the holy trinity of sexual deviance episodes right in a row: Kyle’s little canadian brother’s kindergarten teacher having sex with his little brother, chickenfucker and then he NAMBLA episode lol

Noooooo! “God” is too generic, too inclusive. The Declaration and Constitution were direct gifts from Jesus. If there is someone Jewish in the room (as long as they are conservative) a shout out to Moses is okay.

The state of Kansas is ‘inadequate’ under [the] Constitution.

…an intended consequence of the KochKoalition-funded dumbing down of America.

Gawd-fearin’ , maliciously ignorant (malignorant) are sooooo easy to manipulate.

They subscribe to the PinkFloyd methodology:

'We don’t need no education ! just wanna be a brick in the wall."

Brownback is creating the GOP concept of “Paradise” in Kansas.

This is what the Republican party wants to do to the whole country.

I have always been a big fan of Rahm’s utterly ruthless, unforgiving style, but you’re right. The dumbest thing the Democratic Party has ever done was to give up on the 50 State Strategy.

I think I’m going to enjoy Teabaggers trying to either fix or explain all the damage they’ve done.

No better time than now. Impeach the governor!

“Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”

Kansas voters have twice said that they want the best government they don’t have to pay for. They’re getting it. Good. And. Hard.

People really should pay more attention to the wisdom of H. L. Mencken. It’s never pretty and rarely inspiring, but he understood people.
