Guess the Acting Solicitor General’s claim that the President is “largely immune from judicial control” wasn’t received too well.

We do not have a king as our leader. It is absolutely amazing that the argument is being made that once the president makes a decision the right to challenge that decision is not allowed!

“Fake, so-called judges don’t know the law. They are not like, smart persons. Impeach. Sad!”

Trump never had “checks and balances” as a child, now he’s getting a taste of what it means, but he’s still a child…

There was also “feigns”. Particularly vitriolic. Leaving for a 10 day trip to Austin at noon. Got up early to pack and found my PM going ballistic.

Just found out that our “beloved” Governor just cut off all grants to Travis County - including the grant that pays for the specialized behavioral health court for veterans. Feel a sympathy protest march coming on.

But the government’s brief repeatedly asserts that presidential authority cannot be questioned by judges once the nation’s security is invoked.

Frightening. Get ready for the “Fourth Reich” You will love it.

Unfortunately, every President since Nixon has been above the law, and every President since Nixon has expanded the power of the executive branch to include the powers once normally associates with kings and dictators including mass spying, civil forfeiture, indefinite detention without charges, torture, and extra-judicial killing.

Trump is simply seeking to expand the executive powers assumed and practiced by his predecessors, and he is very likely to win.

You think that started with Nixon?
And no, he won’t win.

Which is why Clinton was almost impeached and Obama had several executive Orders thwarted by the courts, not to mention several significant supreme court losses like Hobby Lobby, and adoption of state exchanges.

No, but it was blatantly obvious that Nixon committed crimes and would have been impeached and convicted by the Senate, so he resigned and Ford pardoned him. Since then, obvious criminal behavior by the executive branch has gone unpunished.

The Constitution is clearly an anachronism now.

Hey there, Trump administration, WE THE PEOPLE LOVE AMERICA and WE BELIEVE IN OUR CONSTITUTION and the RULE OF LAW!

Clinton was impeached, but not convicted.

None of those Executive Orders used “National Security” as justifiers.

This is all going to be hard enough without Eeyores like you.

Then I’d get off the grid ASAP if I were you.

I don’t matter to them, and you probably don’t either.
