Discussion: Court Blocks Trump Admin's Rules On Employer Birth Control Coverage

The reason for the 9th Circuit to push back is on procedure not the substance of the law itself. I am so sick of the toadies being embedded into the fabric of our govt, that are trying to implement nonsense such as this.

I sincerely hope that the ‘deep state’ ( normal govt folks) are keeping track of all this bull crap to try and reverse once the grifters leave town, for good.

So much winning; so little time.

Only a temporary setback for the Right’s goal of putting religion (actually, only that practiced by certain sorts of Christians) ahead of the rights of anyone that select group of Republican voters (er, I mean, that group of deeply religious people) happens to dislike.

“It also allowed any company that is not publicly traded to deny coverage on moral grounds.”

Like the Trump Organization?

[but it has no morals]

The grifters are likely to be out of town much, much sooner than all the judges and justices now exerting ever-greater power over the lives of all of us the Right just doesn’t like.

Geeze. Lately, it seems like absolutely nothing is going the Dotard’s way. Day after day, all of his best laid plans are going down the drain.

Or, alternatively, the rule of law is prevailing against his personal wishes.

Trump promised weeks ago the 9th Circuit was no longer going to be permitted to stymie his agenda. PROMISED!! What gives?

As T rumpp keeps getting more and more toxic, the grifters are likely to say out of town much longer, as well. The Dems are in town, now. Time to set thing right again.

Religious Freedom exemptions should be means-tested for legitimacy.

For example, I’m pretty sure that Jesus didn’t say to impose your will on others.

Ergo, a Christian can’t claim that as a legitimate exemption.

Also, every executive at any company–religious or otherwise-- who claims an exemption like this should have themselves and their family tested to ensure that they are not illicitly taking these evil birth control pills (and would be a good job for PIs to check if they are getting condoms OTC), to ensure that they are practicing what they preach.

Probably a good idea to target any of the executives with less than, say, 9 children, because they’re probably up to something.

I’ve got two proposals: if you’re going to claim that a particular religion is central to your corporation’s activities, put it in the charter. And be ready to defend actions for violating that charter. Or if you’re closely held, and you want your shareholders’ views to govern, whatever they are, then give up the corporate veil.

Don’t want to do either of those? Then unprintable in your censored unprintable.

The same people who claim to have a religion conscience are very likely the same people who voted knowingly for a lying, corrupt faithless fornicator. Just spare me the bullshit that they actually have any values.
