Discussion: Counterintelligence Experts Explain Why Mar-a-Lago Is A Security Disaster

You don’t need an expert to explain why Mar-a-Grifto is a security disaster. Trump spends a lot of time there. 'Nuff said.

Imagine if Hillary tried having a palace of ill repute for America’s richest and most corrupt rich scum bags as her primary residence while president!

Have we impeached the son of a bitch-and-a-Klansman yet?

I’m asking for a friend…

There’s another angle at work here. There’s great value to the intelligence community and law enforcement in general in keeping Americans convinced there are threats EVERYWHERE. That is extremely important because it’s used as justification of suspension of our civil rights, spying on Americans, unwarranted surveillance and other intrusions that keep the masses under control. Even though Trump is a total chump and has no idea what he’s doing, he’s inadvertently proving that there isn’t a threat under every bush and bridge. If Americans start to realize that the over-hyped bullshit about “national security” is just that…bullshit, nearly every time, then the very existence of our surveillance state comes under question. Mar-a-Lago is a security disaster because Trump is a disaster. But, the US is NOT under threat from any other nation on the planet. Our obscene defense budget desperately depends on our government constantly reinforcing the idea that we’re in danger 24/7, and that we need unlimited funds to be spent on the battle against the boogie-man.

See Eisenhower’s valedictory speech on the military-industrial complex.

Here’s the nut 'graph:

Until the latest of our world conflicts, the United States had no armaments industry. American makers of plowshares could, with time and as required, make swords as well. But now we can no longer risk emergency improvisation of national defense; we have been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportions. Added to this, three and a half million men and women are directly engaged in the defense establishment. We annually spend on military security more than the net income of all United States corporations.

This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence – economic, political, even spiritual – is felt in every city, every State house, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society.

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.

…and a profit motive that appears to override all else.

Donald’s second motivation right behind and a part of, his ego.

Yeah, so the Chinese agent who had 5 cell phones and 8 USB drives with malware on them really was just looking for the swimming pool.

We cut and cut things over the 90’s, withdrew into ourselves and cut down on strategic international alliances.

Which was accompanied by the embassy bombings in Africa, the U.S.S. Cole, and finally 9/11.

Then we kept slashing things in Europe, because nobody in modern Europe invades another country by force anymore…

Crimea and Eastern Ukraine, and initial attempts at the Baltics before we stepped up.

China’s ramping up, Russia is modernizing and doing the same.

Spies couldn’t invent a more promising prospect for asset recruitment, than the oval office occupant. Between money, flattery, sex, flattery that accrues to money and every other permutation of those three, it’s hard to tell which the needy little man-child Rump craves most. That, combined with his essential con man character leading him to believe he’s in on it, makes him the perfect mark. That’s why Mar a Lago is a mess. The White House isltself is almost as big a mess.

Because that was the whole point to begin with?

Because everything Trump touches is a disaster. All he had to do was lose an election by being as offensively dumb as possible and he couldn’t even get that right.

IF that had been the case, millions of people wouldn’t have been murdered.
