In more ways than one. The defense will try to put the cops, the victims and the DA on trial.
Defense will try for a sympathetic jury and, in Phila, get one.

Cosby is a serial sexual predator with a strange fixation of taking advantage of women after he chemically incapacitates them. It is a shame that it has taken this long to expose him for the sick and entitled disgrace that he is. I wish that he could be arrested and put on suicide watch, and not be released on bail! What does he have to live for now, anyway, with a big trial in his future, seeing how ‘feeble’ he is???
No tragedy here either. “Tragedy,” at least in the classical sense of the word, connoted the fall of a person with some nobility. Cosby, we’ve learned, is the lowest of criminal types. Impossible to have anything but a casual sympathy for him in that he has given $millions to good causes. I suppose that is some small redeeming quality, but it is overshadowed by his behavior.
