Guys like Cornyn just despise those, educated, uppity Hispanics or blacks or women or “foreigners”. They don’t know what to do about them and it drives them nuts. The world is changing, Senator, and we adapt, move or die.

I often wonder if they cheer on mean girl language and junior high put downs in their own children. After all, this is the “spare the rod, spoil the child” and “children should be seen and not heard” crowd. What do they say when their own kids use a 45 putdown and retort, “the President says it!?”

That’s an old Ronald Reagan trick, pretending not to hear. Now, Trump has lowered the bar of what’s acceptable, no expected, behavior among his party. It’s beneath childish, and certainly unprofessional behavior for the aged leadership of our country.
