Having had only the most fleeting experience with weapons, I nonetheless cannot conceive how this could happen.
You mean Negligent Discharge not âaccidentalâ discharge.
Itâs simple. He didnât have a good leg with a gun to defend him.
Where was the Good Guy With a Gun - when you really need him to prevent this???
This is someone who is supposed to be well trained and familiar with the handling of firearms.
Now think about the bullshit that Wayne LaPierre and the NRA have been shoveling; âThe Only Thing That Stops A Bad Guy With A Gun Is A Good Guy With A Gunâ.
Like most things that the NRA suggests, it is a recipe for a clusterfuck.
Mistook his leg for an unarmed Black man?
You people are seeing this all wrong. The problem is that he had to go get a gun from a weapons room. If he had had the gun on him, he wouldnât have had to go get it from a weapons room and wouldnât have shot himself.
Arm everyone always and this problem would never happen again.
It sounds to me as if the safety was not on.
Thatâs impossible. Everyone knows the safety is on up until youâre preparing to fire.
Right?
Exactly why I carry my own gun. You just canât outsource your safety with confidence.
The gun was being held hostageâŚ
It realized this was the only chance that it had to free itself of a dum-bass.
how in the world was this one overlooked:

ST. JOSEPH, MI â A woman who accidentally shot herself in the eye on New Years Day at her Lake Michigan home was adjusting the handgun in her bra holster, police say.
St. Joseph Public Safety detectives are still waiting on the full autopsy report in the death of Christina Bond, 55, but released the new details to the Kalamazoo Gazette on Wednesday.
âShe was having trouble adjusting her bra holster, couldnât get it to fit the way she wanted it to. She was looking down at it and accidentally discharged the weapon,â said St. Joseph Public Safety Director Mark Clapp.
